2ALL [THE] WAYS OF A PERSON [ARE] PURE IN OWN EYES HIS AND [IS] WEIGHING SPIRITS YAHWEH 2All a man’s ways are pure in his own eyes, but his motives are weighed out by the LORD.
3ROLL TO YAHWEH WORKS YOUR SO THEY MAY BE ESTABLISHED PLANS YOUR 3Commit your works to the LORD and your plans will be achieved.
4EVERYTHING HE MAKES YAHWEH FOR <THE> PURPOSE ITS AND ALSO [THE] WICKED FOR A DAY OF TROUBLE 4The LORD has made everything for His purpose— even the wicked for the day of disaster.
5[IS] [THE] ABOMINATION OF YAHWEH EVERY [PERSON] HAUGHTY OF HEART HAND TO HAND NOT HE WILL GO UNPUNISHED 5Everyone who is proud in heart is detestable to the LORD; be assured that he will not go unpunished.
6BY LOYALTY AND FAITHFULNESS IT IS ATONED FOR INIQUITY AND [IS] BY [THE] FEAR OF YAHWEH TURNING ASIDE FROM EVIL 6By loving devotion and faithfulness iniquity is atoned for, and by the fear of the LORD one turns aside from evil.
7WHEN IS PLEASED WITH YAHWEH [THE] WAYS OF A PERSON ALSO ENEMIES HIS HE CAUSES TO BE AT PEACE WITH HIM 7When a man’s ways please the LORD, He makes even the man’s enemies live at peace with him.
8[IS] GOOD A LITTLE WITH RIGHTEOUSNESS MORE THAN GREATNESS OF GAINS WITH NOT JUSTICE 8Better a little with righteousness than great gain with injustice.
9[THE] HEART OF A PERSON IT PLANS WAY HIS AND YAHWEH HE DIRECTS STEP[S] HIS 9A man’s heart plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps.
10DIVINATION [IS] ON [THE] LIPS OF A KING IN JUDGMENT NOT IT WILL ACT UNFAITHFULLY MOUTH HIS 10A divine verdict is on the lips of a king; his mouth must not betray justice.
11A BALANCE AND SCALES OF JUSTICE [BELONG] TO YAHWEH [ARE] WORK HIS ALL [THE] WEIGHTS OF [THE] BAG 11Honest scales and balances are from the LORD; all the weights in the bag are His concern.
12[IS] AN ABOMINATION OF KINGS TO DO WICKEDNESS FOR BY RIGHTEOUSNESS IT IS ESTABLISHED A THRONE 12Wicked behavior is detestable for kings, for a throne is established through righteousness.
13[ARE THE] DELIGHT OF KINGS LIPS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS AND [ONE WHO] SPEAKS UPRIGHT [THINGS] HE LOVES 13Righteous lips are a king’s delight, and he who speaks honestly is beloved.
14[THE] RAGE OF A KING [IS] MESSENGERS OF DEATH AND A PERSON WISE HE COVERS IT 14The wrath of a king is a messenger of death, but a wise man will pacify it.
15[IS] IN [THE] LIGHT OF [THE] FACE OF A KING LIFE AND FAVOR HIS [IS] LIKE A CLOUD OF SPRING RAIN 15When a king’s face brightens, there is life; his favor is like a rain cloud in spring.
16TO ACQUIRE WISDOM HOW! [IS] GOOD MORE THAN GOLD AND TO ACQUIRE UNDERSTANDING [IS TO BE] CHOSEN MORE THAN SILVER 16How much better to acquire wisdom than gold! To gain understanding is more desirable than silver.
17[THE] HIGHWAY OF UPRIGHT [PEOPLE] [IS] TO TURN ASIDE FROM EVIL [IS] PROTECTING LIFE HIS [ONE WHO] GUARDS WAY HIS 17The highway of the upright leads away from evil; he who guards his way protects his life.
18[IS] <TO> BEFORE BREAKING PRIDE AND [IS] <TO> BEFORE STUMBLING HAUGHTINESS OF SPIRIT 18Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.
19[IS] GOOD TO BE LOWLY SPIRIT WITH HUMBLE [PEOPLE] MORE THAN DIVIDING PLUNDER WITH PROUD [PEOPLE] 19It is better to be lowly in spirit among the humble than to divide the spoil with the proud.

22[IS] A FOUNTAIN OF LIFE [THE] PRUDENCE OF OWNERS ITS AND [THE] DISCIPLINE OF FOOLS [IS] FOOLISHNESS 22Understanding is a fountain of life to its possessor, but the discipline of fools is folly.
23[THE] HEART OF A WISE [PERSON] IT GIVES INSIGHT TO MOUTH HIS AND TO LIPS HIS IT ADDS TEACHING 23The heart of the wise man instructs his mouth and adds persuasiveness to his lips.

27A PERSON OF WORTHLESSNESS [IS] DIGGING UP EVIL AND [IS] ON LIP HIS LIKE A FIRE SCORCHING 27A worthless man digs up evil, and his speech*NoteCloseOr and what is on his lips is like a scorching fire.
28A PERSON OF PERVERSITIES HE SENDS OUT STRIFE AND A SLANDERER [IS] SEPARATING A CLOSE FRIEND 28A perverse man spreads dissension, and a gossip divides close friends.
29A PERSON OF VIOLENCE HE DECEIVES NEIGHBOR HIS AND HE LEADS HIM IN A WAY NOT GOOD 29A violent man entices his neighbor and leads him down a path that is not good.
30[ONE WHO] SHUTS EYES HIS TO DEVISE PERVERSE THINGS [ONE WHO] PURSES LIPS HIS HE ACCOMPLISHES EVIL 30He who winks his eye devises perversity; he who purses his lips is bent on evil.
31[IS] A CROWN OF SPLENDOR GRAY HAIR IN [THE] WAY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IT IS FOUND 31Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is attained along the path of righteousness.
32[IS] GOOD A [PERSON] LONG OF ANGER<S> MORE THAN A WARRIOR AND [ONE WHO] RULES OVER SPIRIT HIS MORE THAN [ONE WHO] CAPTURES A CITY 32He who is slow to anger is better than a warrior, and he who controls his temper is greater than one who captures a city.
33IN THE BOSOM IT IS THROWN <OBJ.> THE LOT AND [IS] FROM YAHWEH EVERY DECISION ITS 33The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD.
