1HOW BLESSED! [IS ONE WHO] CONSIDERS <TO> [THE] POOR IN A DAY OF TROUBLE HE WILL DELIVER HIM YAHWEH 1Blessed is the one who cares for the poor; the LORD will deliver him in the day of trouble.
2YAHWEH HE WILL KEEP HIM AND HE WILL PRESERVE ALIVE HIM AND HE WILL BE CALLED BLESSED IN THE LAND AND MAY NOT YOU GIVE HIM IN [THE] DESIRE OF ENEMIES HIS 2The LORD will protect and preserve him; He will bless him in the land and refuse to give him over to the will of his foes.
3YAHWEH HE WILL SUSTAIN HIM ON A COUCH OF ILLNESS ALL BED HIS YOU HAVE CHANGED IN SICKNESS HIS 3The LORD will sustain him on his bed of illness and restore him from his bed of sickness.
4I I SAID O YAHWEH SHOW FAVOR TO ME HEAL! SELF MY FOR I HAVE SINNED TO YOU 4I said, “O LORD, be gracious to me; heal me, for I have sinned against You.”
5ENEMIES MY THEY SPEAK EVIL OF ME WHEN? WILL HE DIE AND WILL IT PERISH? NAME HIS 5My enemies say with malice “When will he die and be forgotten
6AND IF SOMEONE CAME TO SEE FALSEHOOD IT SPEAKS HEART HIS IT GATHERS WICKEDNESS FOR <THE> ITSELF HE GOES OUT TO THE OUTSIDE HE SPEAKS 6My visitor speaks falsehood; he gathers slander in his heart; he goes out and spreads it abroad.
7TOGETHER ON ME THEY WHISPER TO ONE ANOTHER ALL [THOSE WHO] HATE ME ON ME THEY PLOT TROUBLE FOR ME 7All who hate me whisper against me; they imagine the worst for me:
8A THING OF WORTHLESSNESS [HAS BEEN] POURED OUT ON HIM AND [THE ONE] WHO HE LAY DOWN NOT HE WILL REPEAT TO RISE 8“A vile disease has been poured into him; he will never get up from where he lies!”
9ALSO A PERSON OF PEACE MY WHOM I TRUSTED IN HIM [WHO] ATE FOOD MY HE HAS MADE GREAT ON ME A HEEL 9Even my close friend whom I trusted the one who shared my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.*NoteCloseCited in John 13:18
10AND YOU O YAHWEH SHOW FAVOR TO ME AND RAISE UP ME SO LET ME REPAY TO THEM 10But You, O LORD, be gracious to me and raise me up, that I may repay them.
11BY THIS I KNOW THAT YOU DELIGHT IN ME THAT NOT HE SHOUTS IN TRIUMPH ENEMY MY OVER ME 11By this I know that You delight in me, for my enemy does not triumph over me.
12AND I IN INTEGRITY MY YOU HAVE SUPPORTED <IN> ME AND YOU HAVE SET ME <TO> BEFORE YOU FOR EVER 12In my integrity You uphold me and set me in Your presence forever.
13[BE] BLESSED YAHWEH [THE] GOD OF ISRAEL FROM <THE> ANTIQUITY AND UNTIL <THE> PERPETUITY AMEN AND AMEN 13Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen.
