20HUMANKIND WITH HONOR AND NOT HE UNDERSTANDS HE IS LIKE LIKE THE ANIMALS [WHICH] THEY ARE DESTROYED 20A man who has riches without understanding is like the beasts that perish.
1GOD GOD YAHWEH HE HAS SPOKEN AND HE HAS SUMMONED [THE] EARTH FROM [THE] RISING OF [THE] SUN TO SETTING ITS 1The Mighty One, God the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from where the sun rises to where it sets.
2FROM ZION PERFECTION OF BEAUTY GOD HE HAS SHONE FORTH 2From Zion, perfect in beauty, God shines forth.
3HE COMES GOD OUR AND MAY NOT HE BE SILENT FIRE <TO> BEFORE HIM IT CONSUMES AND AROUND HIM IT IS TEMPESTUOUS EXCEEDINGLY 3Our God approaches and will not be silent! Consuming fire precedes Him, and a tempest rages around Him.
4HE SUMMONS <TO> THE HEAVENS <FROM> ABOVE AND <TO> THE EARTH TO JUDGE PEOPLE HIS 4He summons the heavens above, and the earth, that He may judge His people:
5GATHER TO ME O FAITHFUL [PEOPLE] MY [THOSE WHO] MADE <OF> COVENANT MY WITH SACRIFICE 5“Gather to Me My saints, who made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”
6AND THEY DECLARED [THE] HEAVENS RIGHTEOUSNESS HIS FOR GOD [IS] JUDGE HE SELAH 6And the heavens proclaim His righteousness, for God Himself is Judge.*NoteCloseOr He is a God of justice Selah
7HEAR! O PEOPLE MY SO LET ME SPEAK O ISRAEL AND I WILL WARN <IN> <THE> YOU [AM] GOD GOD YOUR I 7“Hear, O My people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will testify against you: I am God, your God.
8NOT ON SACRIFICES YOUR I REBUKE YOU AND BURNT OFFERINGS YOUR [ARE] TO BEFORE ME CONTINUALLY 8I do not rebuke you for your sacrifices, and your burnt offerings are ever before Me.
9NOT I WILL ACCEPT FROM HOUSEHOLD YOUR A YOUNG BULL FROM FOLDS YOUR GOATS 9I have no need for a bull from your stall or goats from your pens,
10FOR [BELONG] TO ME EVERY LIVING CREATURE OF [THE] FOREST [THE] ANIMALS ON HILLS OF A THOUSAND 10for every beast of the forest is Mine— the cattle on a thousand hills.
11I KNOW EVERY BIRD OF [THE] MOUNTAINS AND MOVING CREATURE[S] OF [THE] FIELD [ARE] WITH ME 11I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are Mine.
12IF I WILL BE HUNGRY NOT I WILL TELL TO YOU FOR [BELONG] TO ME [THE] WORLD AND WHAT FILLS IT 12If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world is Mine, and the fullness thereof.
13¿ DO I EAT [THE] FLESH OF MIGHTY [BULLS] AND [THE] BLOOD OF GOATS DO I DRINK? 13Do I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
14SACRIFICE TO GOD A THANK-OFFERING AND PAY TO [THE] MOST HIGH VOWS YOUR 14Sacrifice a thank offering to God, and fulfill your vows to the Most High.
15AND CALL OUT TO ME IN A DAY OF TROUBLE I WILL RESCUE YOU AND YOU WILL HONOR ME 15Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you will honor Me.”
16AND TO THE WICKED HE SAYS GOD WHAT? [IS] TO YOU TO RECOUNT DECREES MY AND YOU HAVE TAKEN COVENANT MY ON MOUTH YOUR 16To the wicked, however, God says, “What right have you to recite My statutes and to bear My covenant on your lips?
17AND YOU YOU HATE DISCIPLINE AND YOU HAVE THROWN WORDS MY BEHIND YOU 17For you hate My instruction and cast My words behind you.
18IF YOU SAW A THIEF AND YOU WERE PLEASED WITH HIM AND [WAS] WITH ADULTERERS PORTION YOUR 18When you see a thief, you befriend him, and throw in your lot with adulterers.
19MOUTH YOUR YOU LET LOOSE IN EVIL AND TONGUE YOUR IT HARNESSES DECEIT 19You unleash your mouth for evil and harness your tongue to deceit.
20YOU SIT ON BROTHER YOUR YOU SPEAK ON [THE] CHILD OF MOTHER YOUR YOU GIVE A FAULT 20You sit and malign your brother; you slander your own mother’s son.
21THESE [THINGS] YOU HAVE DONE AND I KEPT SILENT YOU IMAGINED EXACTLY <BE> I AM LIKE YOU I WILL REBUKE YOU AND I WILL ARRANGE TO EYES YOUR 21You have done these things, and I kept silent; you thought I was*NoteCloseOr you thought the ‘I AM’ was just like you. But now I rebuke you and accuse you to your face.*NoteCloseLiterally and I set it in order before your eyes
22CONSIDER PLEASE THIS O [THOSE WHO] FORGET <OF> GOD LEST I SHOULD TEAR TO PIECES AND THERE NOT [WILL BE] A DELIVERER 22Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you to pieces, with no one to rescue you:
23[ONE WHO] SACRIFICES A THANK-OFFERING HE HONORS ME AND [ONE WHO] SETS A WAY I WILL LET LOOK HIM ON [THE] SALVATION OF GOD 23He who sacrifices a thank offering honors Me, and to him who rightly orders his way, I will show the salvation of God.”
