32AND HE MADE HEAVY PHARAOH <OBJ.> HEART HIS ALSO AT THE TIME <THE> THIS AND NOT HE LET GO <OBJ.> THE PEOPLE 32But Pharaoh hardened his heart this time as well, and he would not let the people go.
1AND HE SAID YAHWEH TO MOSES GO TO PHARAOH AND YOU WILL SAY TO HIM THUS HE SAYS YAHWEH [THE] GOD OF THE HEBREWS LET GO <OBJ.> PEOPLE MY SO THEY MAY SERVE ME The Fifth Plague: Livestock 1Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and tell him that this is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: ‘Let My people go, so that they may worship Me.
2THAT EXCEPT [ARE] REFUSING YOU TO LET [THEM] GO AND STILL YOU [ARE] KEEPING HOLD ON <THE> THEM 2But if you continue to restrain them and refuse to let them go,
3THERE! [THE] HAND OF YAHWEH [IS] ABOUT TO BE ON LIVESTOCK YOUR WHICH [IS] IN THE FIELD ON THE HORSES ON THE DONKEYS ON THE CAMELS ON THE CATTLE AND ON THE SHEEP A PESTILENCE HEAVY VERY 3then the hand of the LORD will bring a severe plague on your livestock in the field— on your horses, donkeys, camels, herds, and flocks.
4AND HE WILL SEPARATE YAHWEH BETWEEN [THE] LIVESTOCK OF ISRAEL AND BETWEEN [THE] LIVESTOCK OF EGYPT AND NOT IT WILL DIE OF ALL [THAT BELONGS] TO [THE] PEOPLE OF ISRAEL ANYTHING 4But the LORD will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt, so that no animal belonging to the Israelites will die.’”
5AND HE SET YAHWEH AN APPOINTED TIME <TO> SAYING TOMORROW HE WILL DO YAHWEH THE THING <THE> THIS IN THE LAND 5The LORD set a time, saying, “Tomorrow the LORD will do this in the land.”
6AND HE DID YAHWEH <OBJ.> THE THING <THE> THIS FROM [THE] NEXT DAY AND IT DIED ALL [THE] LIVESTOCK OF EGYPT AND OF [THE] LIVESTOCK OF [THE] PEOPLE OF ISRAEL NOT IT DIED ONE 6And the next day the LORD did just that. All the livestock of the Egyptians died, but not one animal belonging to the Israelites died.
7AND HE SENT PHARAOH AND THERE! NOT IT HAD DIED ANY OF [THE] LIVESTOCK OF ISRAEL UP TO ONE AND IT WAS UNRESPONSIVE [THE] HEART OF PHARAOH AND NOT HE LET GO <OBJ.> THE PEOPLE 7Pharaoh sent officials and found that none of the livestock of the Israelites had died. But Pharaoh’s heart was hardened,*NoteCloseOr made heavy; also in verse 34 and he would not let the people go.
8AND HE SAID YAHWEH TO MOSES AND TO AARON TAKE FOR <THE> YOURSELVES [THE] FULLNESS OF HANDS YOUR SOOT OF A FURNACE AND HE WILL SPRINKLE IT MOSES THE HEAVENS TOWARDS TO [THE] EYES OF PHARAOH The Sixth Plague: Boils 8Then the LORD said to Moses and Aaron, “Take handfuls of soot from the furnace; in the sight of Pharaoh, Moses is to toss it into the air.
9AND IT WILL BECOME <INTO> DUST OVER ALL [THE] LAND OF EGYPT AND IT WILL BECOME ON <THE> HUMANKIND AND ON THE LIVESTOCK <INTO> BOIL[S] BREAKING OUT BLISTERS IN ALL [THE] LAND OF EGYPT 9It will become fine dust over all the land of Egypt, and festering boils will break out on man and beast throughout the land
10AND THEY TOOK <OBJ.> [THE] SOOT OF THE FURNACE AND THEY STOOD <TO> BEFORE PHARAOH AND HE SPRINKLED <OBJ.> IT MOSES THE HEAVENS TOWARDS AND IT BECAME BOIL[S] BLISTERS BREAKING OUT ON <THE> HUMANKIND AND ON THE LIVESTOCK 10So they took soot from the furnace and stood before Pharaoh. Moses tossed it into the air, and festering boils broke out on man and beast.
11AND NOT THEY WERE ABLE THE MAGICIANS TO STAND <TO> BEFORE MOSES <FROM> BECAUSE OF THE BOIL[S] FOR IT WAS THE BOIL[S] ON THE MAGICIANS AND ON ALL EGYPT 11The magicians could not stand before Moses, because the boils had broken out on them and on all the Egyptians.
12AND HE MADE STRONG YAHWEH <OBJ.> [THE] HEART OF PHARAOH AND NOT HE LISTENED TO THEM JUST AS HE HAD SAID YAHWEH TO MOSES 12But the LORD hardened*NoteCloseOr stiffened or strengthened; also in verse 35 Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not listen to them, just as the LORD had said to Moses.
13AND HE SAID YAHWEH TO MOSES RISE EARLY IN THE MORNING AND PRESENT YOURSELF <TO> BEFORE PHARAOH AND YOU WILL SAY TO HIM THUS HE SAYS YAHWEH [THE] GOD OF THE HEBREWS LET GO <OBJ.> PEOPLE MY SO THEY MAY SERVE ME The Seventh Plague: Hail 13Then the LORD said to Moses, “Get up early in the morning, stand before Pharaoh, and tell him that this is what the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, says: ‘Let My people go, so that they may worship Me.
14FOR AT THE TIME <THE> THIS I [AM] ABOUT TO SEND <OBJ.> ALL PLAGUES MY TO HEART YOUR AND ON SERVANTS YOUR AND ON PEOPLE YOUR IN ORDER THAT YOU MAY KNOW THAT THERE NOT [IS] LIKE ME IN ALL THE EARTH 14Otherwise, I will send all My plagues against you*NoteCloseHebrew against your heart or against your inner man and your officials and your people, so you may know that there is no one like Me in all the earth.
15FOR NOW I STRETCHED OUT <OBJ.> HAND MY AND I STRUCK <OBJ.> YOU AND <OBJ.> PEOPLE YOUR WITH <THE> PESTILENCE AND YOU WERE DESTROYED FROM THE EARTH 15For by this time I could have stretched out My hand and struck you and your people with a plague to wipe you off the earth.
16AND BUT FOR SAKE OF THIS I HAVE CAUSED TO STAND YOU IN ORDER TO SEE YOU <OBJ.> POWER MY AND SO AS TO RECOUNT NAME MY IN ALL THE EARTH 16But I have raised you up*NoteCloseOr have spared you for this very purpose, that I might display My power to you,*NoteCloseLXX in you and that My name might be proclaimed in all the earth.*NoteCloseCited in Romans 9:17
17STILL YOU [ARE] EXALTING YOURSELF ON PEOPLE MY TO NOT TO LET GO THEM 17Still, you lord it over My people and do not allow them to go.
18HERE I [AM] ABOUT TO RAIN DOWN ABOUT <THE> THIS TIME TOMORROW HAIL HEAVY VERY WHICH NOT IT HAS BEEN LIKE IT IN EGYPT <TO> FROM THE DAY WAS FOUNDED IT AND UNTIL NOW 18Behold, at this time tomorrow I will rain down the worst hail that has ever fallen on Egypt, from the day it was founded until now.

Every man or beast that remains in the field and is not brought inside will die when the hail comes down upon them.’”
20THE [ONE] FEARING <OBJ.> [THE] WORD OF YAHWEH OF [THE] SERVANTS OF PHARAOH HE MADE TO FLEE <OBJ.> SERVANTS HIS AND <OBJ.> LIVESTOCK HIS INTO THE HOUSES 20Those among Pharaoh’s officials who feared the word of the LORD hurried to bring their servants and livestock to shelter,
21AND [THE ONE] WHO NOT HE SET HEART HIS TO [THE] WORD OF YAHWEH AND HE LEFT <OBJ.> SERVANTS HIS AND <OBJ.> LIVESTOCK HIS IN THE FIELD 21but those who disregarded the word of the LORD left their servants and livestock in the field.
22AND HE SAID YAHWEH TO MOSES STRETCH OUT <OBJ.> HAND YOUR TO THE HEAVENS SO MAY IT BE HAIL IN ALL [THE] LAND OF EGYPT ON THE HUMANKIND AND ON THE LIVESTOCK AND ON ALL [THE] VEGETATION OF THE FIELD IN [THE] LAND OF EGYPT 22Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward heaven, so that hail may fall on all the land of Egypt— on man and beast and every plant of the field throughout the land of Egypt.”
23AND HE STRETCHED OUT MOSES <OBJ.> STAFF HIS TO THE HEAVENS AND YAHWEH HE GAVE THUNDER CLAPS AND HAIL AND IT WENT FIRE [THE] GROUND TOWARDS AND HE RAINED DOWN YAHWEH HAIL ON [THE] LAND OF EGYPT 23So Moses stretched out his staff toward heaven, and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and lightning struck the earth. So the LORD rained down hail upon the land of Egypt.
24AND IT WAS HAIL AND FIRE [WAS] FLASHING IN [THE] MIDDLE OF THE HAIL HEAVY VERY WHICH NOT IT HAD BEEN LIKE IT IN ALL [THE] LAND OF EGYPT FROM THEN IT HAD BECOME <INTO> A NATION 24The hail fell and the lightning continued flashing through it. The hail was so severe that nothing like it had ever been seen in all the land of Egypt from the time it became a nation.
25AND IT STRUCK THE HAIL IN ALL [THE] LAND OF EGYPT <OBJ.> ALL THAT [WAS] IN THE FIELD FROM HUMANKIND AND UNTO LIVESTOCK AND <OBJ.> ALL [THE] VEGETATION OF THE FIELD IT STRUCK THE HAIL AND <OBJ.> EVERY <THE> TREE OF THE FIELD IT SHATTERED 25Throughout the land of Egypt, the hail struck down everything in the field, both man and beast; it beat down every plant of the field and stripped every tree.
26ONLY IN [THE] LAND OF GOSHEN WHERE [WERE] THERE [THE] PEOPLE OF ISRAEL NOT IT WAS HAIL 26The only place where it did not hail was in the land of Goshen, where the Israelites lived.
27AND HE SENT PHARAOH AND HE SUMMONED <TO> MOSES AND <TO> AARON AND HE SAID TO THEM I HAVE SINNED THIS TIME YAHWEH [IS] THE RIGHTEOUS [ONE] AND I AND PEOPLE MY [ARE] THE GUILTY [ONES] 27Then Pharaoh summoned Moses and Aaron. “This time I have sinned,” he said. “The LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
28PRAY TO YAHWEH AND [IS TOO] MUCH FOR BEING [THE] THUNDER CLAPS OF GOD AND [THE] HAIL AND I WILL LET GO <OBJ.> YOU AND NOT YOU WILL INCREASE! TO STAY 28Pray to the LORD, for there has been enough of God’s thunder and hail. I will let you go; you do not need to stay any longer.”
29AND HE SAID TO HIM MOSES WHEN HAVE GONE OUT I <OBJ.> THE CITY I WILL SPREAD OUT <OBJ.> HANDS MY TO YAHWEH THE THUNDER CLAPS THEY WILL CEASE! AND THE HAIL NOT IT WILL HAPPEN AGAIN SO THAT YOU MAY KNOW THAT [BELONGS] TO YAHWEH THE EARTH 29Moses said to him, “When I have left the city, I will spread out my hands to the LORD. The thunder will cease, and there will be no more hail, so that you may know that the earth is the LORD’s.
30AND YOU AND SERVANTS YOUR I KNOW THAT NOT YET YOU FEAR! <FROM> BECAUSE OF YAHWEH GOD 30But as for you and your officials, I know that you still do not fear the LORD our God.”
31AND THE FLAX AND THE BARLEY IT WAS STRUCK FOR THE BARLEY [WAS] YOUNG BARLEY EAR[S] AND THE FLAX [WAS] BUD 31(Now the flax and barley were destroyed, since the barley was ripe and the flax was in bloom;
32AND THE WHEAT AND THE SPELT NOT THEY WERE STRUCK FOR [ARE] LATE [CROPS] THEY 32but the wheat and spelt were not destroyed, because they are late crops.)
33AND HE WENT OUT MOSES FROM WITH PHARAOH <OBJ.> THE CITY AND HE SPREAD OUT HANDS HIS TO YAHWEH AND THEY CEASED THE THUNDER CLAPS AND THE HAIL AND RAIN NOT IT WAS POURED OUT [THE] EARTH TOWARDS 33Then Moses departed from Pharaoh, went out of the city, and spread out his hands to the LORD. The thunder and hail ceased, and the rain no longer poured down on the land.
34AND HE SAW PHARAOH THAT IT HAD CEASED THE RAIN AND THE HAIL AND THE THUNDER CLAPS AND HE REPEATED TO SIN AND HE MADE HEAVY HEART HIS HE AND SERVANTS HIS 34When Pharaoh saw that the rain and hail and thunder had ceased, he sinned again and hardened his heart— he and his officials.
35AND IT WAS STRONG [THE] HEART OF PHARAOH AND NOT HE LET GO <OBJ.> [THE] PEOPLE OF ISRAEL JUST AS HE HAD SAID YAHWEH BY [THE] HAND OF MOSES 35So Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not let the Israelites go, just as the LORD had said through Moses.
