THE HEAVENS DO THEY GIVE COPIOUS SHOWERS ¿ NOT YOU [IS] IT O YAHWEH GOD OUR SO WE MAY WAIT EAGERLY FOR <THE> YOU FOR YOU YOU HAVE DONE <OBJ.> ALL THESE [THINGS] 22Can the worthless idols of the nations bring rain? Do the skies alone send showers? Is this not by You, O LORD our God? So we put our hope in You, for You have done all these things.
1AND HE SAID YAHWEH TO ME IF HE WILL STAND MOSES AND SAMUEL <TO> BEFORE ME NOT SOUL MY [WILL BE] TO THE PEOPLE <THE> THIS SEND [THEM] AWAY FROM ON FACE MY SO THEY MAY GO OUT Judgment to Continue 1Then the LORD said to me: “Even if Moses and Samuel should stand before Me, My heart would not go out to this people. Send them from My presence, and let them go!

WILL WE GO OUT AND YOU WILL SAY TO THEM THUS HE SAYS YAHWEH [THOSE] WHO [ARE] FOR <THE> DEATH TO <THE> DEATH AND [THOSE] WHO [ARE] FOR THE SWORD TO THE SWORD AND [THOSE] WHO [ARE] FOR THE FAMINE TO THE FAMINE AND [THOSE] WHO [ARE] FOR <THE> CAPTIVITY TO <THE> CAPTIVITY 2If they ask you, ‘Where shall we go?’ you are to tell them that this is what the LORD says: ‘Those destined for death, to death; those destined for the sword, to the sword;*NoteCloseSee Revelation 13:10. those destined for famine, to famine; and those destined for captivity, to captivity.’
3AND I WILL APPOINT OVER THEM FOUR KINDS [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH <OBJ.> THE SWORD TO KILL AND <OBJ.> THE DOGS TO DRAG AWAY AND <OBJ.> [THE] BIRD[S] OF THE HEAVENS AND <OBJ.> [THE] ANIMAL[S] OF THE EARTH TO DEVOUR AND TO DESTROY 3I will appoint over them four kinds of destroyers, declares the LORD: the sword to kill, the dogs to drag away, and the birds of the air and beasts of the earth to devour and destroy.
4AND I WILL MAKE THEM INTO A TERROR FOR ALL [THE] KINGDOMS OF THE EARTH ON ACCOUNT OF MANASSEH [THE] SON OF HEZEKIAH [THE] KING OF JUDAH ON [THAT] WHICH HE DID IN JERUSALEM 4I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth because of what Manasseh son of Hezekiah king of Judah did in Jerusalem.
5FOR WHO? WILL HE HAVE COMPASSION ON YOU O JERUSALEM AND WHO? WILL HE SHOW SYMPATHY TO <THE> YOU AND WHO? WILL HE TURN ASIDE TO ASK TO WELFARE OF <THE> YOU 5Who will have pity on you, O Jerusalem? Who will mourn for you? Who will turn aside to ask about your welfare
6YOU YOU ABANDONED <OBJ.> ME [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH BACKWARDS YOU GO AND I HAVE STRETCHED OUT <OBJ.> HAND MY ON YOU AND I HAVE DESTROYED YOU I HAD WEARIED MYSELF TO RELENT 6You have forsaken Me, declares the LORD. You have turned your back. So I will stretch out My hand against you and I will destroy you; I am weary of showing compassion.
7AND I HAVE WINNOWED THEM WITH A WINNOWING SCOOP IN [THE] GATES OF THE LAND I HAVE MADE CHILDLESS I HAVE DESTROYED <OBJ.> PEOPLE MY FROM WAYS THEIR NOT THEY HAVE TURNED AWAY 7I will scatter them with a winnowing fork at the gates of the land. I will bereave and destroy My people who have not turned from their ways.
8THEY ARE NUMEROUS TO <THE> ME WIDOWS ITS MORE THAN [THE] SAND OF [THE] SEAS I HAVE BROUGHT TO <THE> THEM ON A MOTHER OF A YOUNG MAN A DESTROYER AT <THE> NOON<S> I HAVE MADE FALL ON HER SUDDENLY ANGUISH AND SUDDEN TERROR 8I will make their widows more numerous than the sand of the sea. I will bring a destroyer at noon against the mothers of young men. I will suddenly bring upon them anguish and dismay.
9SHE HAS GROWN FEEBLE [ONE WHO] BORE <THE> SEVEN [CHILDREN] IT HAS PANTED BREATH HER IT WENT SUN HER WHILE STILL BY DAY SHE IS ASHAMED AND SHE IS ABASHED AND REMNANT THEIR TO THE SWORD I WILL GIVE <TO> BEFORE ENEMIES THEIR [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH 9The mother of seven will grow faint; she will breathe her last breath. Her sun will set while it is still day; she will be disgraced and humiliated. And the rest I will put to the sword in the presence of their enemies,” declares the LORD.
10WOE! TO <THE> ME O MOTHER MY THAT YOU GAVE BIRTH TO ME A MAN OF STRIFE AND A MAN OF CONTENTION TO ALL THE LAND NOT I HAVE LENT AND NOT PEOPLE HAVE LENT TO ME ALL OF HIM [ARE] CURSING ME Jeremiah’s Woe 10Woe to me, my mother, that you have borne me, a man of strife and conflict in all the land. 13WEALTH YOUR AND TREASURES YOUR TO PLUNDER I WILL GIVE NOT FOR PRICE AND ON ALL SINS YOUR AND IN ALL TERRITORIES YOUR 13Your wealth and your treasures I will give up as plunder, without charge for all your sins within all your borders.

15YOU YOU KNOW O YAHWEH REMEMBER ME AND VISIT ME AND AVENGE YOURSELF FOR <THE> ME FROM [THOSE WHO] HARASS ME MAY NOT TO [THE] LENGTH OF ANGER YOUR YOU TAKE AWAY ME KNOW BEARING MY ON YOU REPROACH 15You understand, O LORD; remember me and attend to me. Avenge me against my persecutors. In Your patience, do not take me away. Know that I endure reproach for Your honor.
16THEY WERE FOUND WORDS YOUR AND I ATE THEM AND IT BECAME WORD YOUR TO <THE> ME <INTO> A JOY AND <INTO> [THE] DELIGHT OF HEART MY FOR IT IS CALLED NAME YOUR ON ME O YAHWEH [THE] GOD OF HOSTS 16Your words were found, and I ate them. Your words became my joy and my heart’s delight. For I bear Your name, O LORD God of Hosts.
17NOT I SAT IN [THE] ASSEMBLY OF MERRY MAKERS AND I REJOICED <FROM> BECAUSE OF HAND YOUR ALONE I SAT FOR INDIGNATION YOU FILLED ME 17I never sat with the band of revelers, nor did I celebrate with them. Because Your hand was on me, I sat alone, for You have filled me with indignation.
18<TO> WHY? IS IT PAIN MY PERPETUITY AND WOUND MY INCURABLE IT HAS REFUSED TO BE HEALED CERTAINLY <TO BEING> YOU ARE TO <THE> ME LIKE A DECEITFUL THING WATERS [WHICH] NOT THEY ARE RELIABLE 18Why is my pain unending, and my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? You have indeed become like a mirage to me— water that is not there.
19<TO> THEREFORE THUS HE SAYS YAHWEH IF YOU WILL RETURN AND I WILL RESTORE YOU <TO> BEFORE ME YOU WILL STAND AND IF YOU WILL BRING FORTH [THE] PRECIOUS FROM [THE] WORTHLESS LIKE MOUTH MY YOU WILL BE THEY WILL RETURN THEY TO YOU AND YOU NOT YOU MUST RETURN TO THEM The LORD’s Promise 19Therefore this is what the LORD says: “If you return, I will restore you; you will stand in My presence. And if you speak words that are noble instead of worthless, you will be My spokesman. It is they who must turn to you, but you must not turn to them.
20AND I WILL MAKE YOU FOR THE PEOPLE <THE> THIS INTO A WALL OF BRONZE FORTIFIED AND PEOPLE WILL FIGHT AGAINST YOU AND NOT THEY WILL PREVAIL TO <THE> YOU FOR [WILL BE] WITH YOU I TO SAVE YOU AND TO DELIVER YOU [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH 20Then I will make you a wall to this people, a fortified wall of bronze; they will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you to save and deliver you, declares the LORD.
21AND I WILL DELIVER YOU FROM [THE] HAND OF WICKED [PEOPLE] AND I WILL RANSOM YOU FROM [THE] HAND OF RUTHLESS [PEOPLE] 21I will deliver you from the hand of the wicked and redeem you from the grasp of the ruthless.”
