3TO THANK WE OUGHT <THE> GOD ALWAYS CONCERNING YOU, BROTHERS, EVEN AS FITTING IT IS, BECAUSE IS INCREASING EXCEEDINGLY THE FAITH OF YOU AND IS ABOUNDING THE LOVE OF ONE EACH OF ALL YOU TO ONE ANOTHER; 3We are obligated to thank God for you all the time, brothers, as is fitting, because your faith is growing more and more, and your love for one another is increasing.
4SO AS FOR OURSELVES US IN YOU TO GREATLY BOAST IN THE CHURCHES <THE> OF GOD ABOUT THE PERSEVERANCE OF YOU AND FAITH IN ALL THE PERSECUTIONS OF YOU AND IN THE TRIBULATIONS THAT YOU ARE BEARING, 4That is why we boast among God’s churches about your perseverance and faith in the face of all the persecution and affliction you are enduring.
5[THIS IS] A PLAIN TOKEN OF THE RIGHTEOUS JUDGMENT <THE> OF GOD UNTO <THE> TO BE ACCOUNTED WORTHY YOU OF THE KINGDOM <THE> OF GOD FOR WHICH ALSO YOU SUFFER; Christ’s Coming 5All this is clear evidence of God’s righteous judgment. And so you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.
6IF INDEED RIGHTEOUS [IT IS] WITH GOD TO REPAY THOSE OPPRESSING YOU WITH AFFLICTION 6After all, it is only right for God to repay with affliction those who afflict you,
7AND TO YOU THOSE BEING OPPRESSED REPOSE WITH US AT THE REVELATION OF THE LORD JESUS FROM HEAVEN WITH [THE] ANGELS MIGHTY OF HIM 7and to grant relief to you who are oppressed and to us as well. This will take place when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels
8IN A FIRE OF FLAME, {8} INFLICTING VENGEANCE ON THOSE NOT KNOWING GOD AND ON THOSE NOT OBEYING THE GOSPEL OF THE LORD OF US JESUS CHRIST; 8in blazing fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
9WHO [THE] PENALTY WILL SUFFER OF DESTRUCTION ETERNAL AWAY FROM [THE] PRESENCE OF THE LORD AND FROM THE GLORY OF THE POWER OF HIM, 9They will suffer the penalty of eternal destruction, separated from the presence of the Lord and the glory of His might,
10WHEN HE MAY COME TO BE GLORIFIED IN THE SAINTS OF HIM AND TO BE MARVELED AT AMONG ALL THOSE HAVING BELIEVED, BECAUSE WAS BELIEVED THE TESTIMONY OF US TO YOU IN THE DAY THAT. 10on the day He comes to be glorified in His saints and regarded with wonder by all who have believed, including you who have believed our testimony.
11FOR WHICH ALSO WE PRAY ALWAYS FOR YOU THAT YOU HE MAY COUNT WORTHY OF THE CALLING OF THE GOD OF US AND HE MAY FULFILL EVERY GOOD PLEASURE OF GOODNESS AND WORK OF FAITH WITH POWER, 11To this end, we always pray for you, that our God will count you worthy of His calling, and that He will powerfully fulfill your every good desire and work of faith,
