2IF INDEED YOU HAVE HEARD OF THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE GRACE <THE> OF GOD WHICH HAVING BEEN GIVEN TO ME TOWARD YOU 2Surely you have heard about the stewardship of God’s grace that was given to me for you,
3FOR BY REVELATION HE MADE KNOWN TO ME THE MYSTERY EVEN AS I HAVE WRITTEN BEFORE IN BRIEF, 3that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.
4BY WHICH YOU ARE ABLE READING [IT] TO UNDERSTAND THE INSIGHT OF MINE INTO THE MYSTERY <THE> OF CHRIST, 4In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,
5WHICH IN IN OTHER GENERATIONS NOT WAS MADE KNOWN TO THE SONS <THE> OF MEN AS NOW IT HAS BEEN REVEALED TO THE HOLY APOSTLES OF HIS AND TO [HIS] PROPHETS IN [THE] SPIRIT, 5which was not made known to men in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.
6BEING THE GENTILES JOINT-HEIRS AND A JOINT-BODY AND JOINT-PARTAKERS OF THE PROMISE OF HIM IN <THE> CHRIST JESUS THROUGH THE GOSPEL, 6This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are fellow heirs, fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus.
7OF WHICH I WOULD BE SERVANT ACCORDING TO THE GIFT OF THE GRACE <THE> OF GOD WHICH HAVING BEEN GIVEN TO ME ACCORDING TO THE WORKING OF THE POWER OF HIM. 7I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace, given me through the working of His power.
8TO ME MYSELF THE VERY LEAST OF ALL OF THE SAINTS WAS GIVEN <THE> GRACE THIS, AMONG THE GENTILES TO EVANGELISE THE UNSEARCHABLE RICHES <THE> OF CHRIST 8Though I am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,
9AND TO ENLIGHTEN ALL WHAT [IS] THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE MYSTERY WHICH HIDDEN FROM THE AGES IN <THE> GOD THE [ONE] WHO ALL THINGS HAVING CREATED THROUGH JESUS CHRIST 9and to illuminate for everyone the stewardship*NoteCloseNE and WH and to illuminate the stewardship; TR and to illuminate for everyone the fellowship of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
10SO THAT MAY BE MADE KNOWN NOW TO THE RULERS AND TO THE AUTHORITIES IN THE HEAVENLY REALMS THROUGH THE CHURCH THE MANIFOLD WISDOM <THE> OF GOD 10His purpose was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
11ACCORDING TO [THE] PURPOSE OF THE AGES, WHICH HE ACCOMPLISHED IN <THE> CHRIST JESUS THE LORD OF US, 11according to the eternal purpose that He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.
12IN WHOM WE HAVE <THE> BOLDNESS AND <THE> ACCESS IN CONFIDENCE THROUGH THE FAITH FROM HIM. 12In Him and through faith in Him*NoteCloseOr through His faithfulness we may enter God’s presence with boldness and confidence.
13THEREFORE I IMPLORE [YOU] NOT TO LOSE HEART AT THE TRIBULATIONS OF MINE FOR YOU, WHICH IS GLORY OF YOU. 13So I ask you not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.
14OF THIS BECAUSE I BOW THE KNEES OF MINE TO THE FATHER OF THE LORD OF US JESUS CHRIST Paul’s Prayer for the Ephesians 14for this reason I bow my knees before the Father,*NoteCloseBYZ and TR before the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
15FROM WHOM EVERY FAMILY IN [THE] HEAVENS AND ON EARTH IS NAMED, 15from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.
16THAT HE MAY GIVE YOU ACCORDING TO THE RICHES OF THE GLORY OF HIM WITH POWER TO BE STRENGTHENED THROUGH THE SPIRIT OF HIM IN THE INNER MAN, 16I ask that out of the riches of His glory He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being,
17[FOR] TO DWELL <THE> CHRIST THROUGH <THE> FAITH IN THE HEARTS OF YOU IN LOVE ROOTED AND FOUNDED, 17so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Then you, being rooted and grounded in love,
18SO THAT YOU MAY BE FULLY ABLE TO GRASP WITH ALL THE SAINTS WHAT [IS] THE BREADTH AND LENGTH AND HEIGHT AND DEPTH 18will have power, together with all the saints, to comprehend the length and width and height and depth
19TO KNOW THEN WHICH IS SURPASSING <THE> KNOWLEDGE LOVE <THE> OF CHRIST, SO THAT YOU MAY BE FILLED UNTO ALL THE FULLNESS <THE> OF GOD. 19of the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
20TO THE [ONE] NOW BEING ABLE ABOVE ALL THINGS TO DO SUPER OVEREXCESSIVELY THAT WE ASK OR WE THINK ACCORDING TO THE POWER WHICH IS WORKING IN US, 20Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us,
21TO HIM [BE] THE GLORY IN THE CHURCH AND IN CHRIST JESUS TO ALL THE GENERATIONS OF THE AGE OF THE AGES, AMEN. 21to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
