30THUS HE SAYS YAHWEH RECORD <OBJ.> THE MAN <THE> THIS CHILDLESS A MAN [WHO] NOT HE WILL PROSPER IN DAYS HIS FOR NOT HE WILL PROSPER ANY OF OFFSPRING HIS ANYONE [WILL BE] SITTING ON [THE] THRONE OF DAVID AND RULING AGAIN OVER JUDAH 30This is what the LORD says: “Enroll this man as childless, a man who will not prosper in his lifetime. None of his descendants will prosper to sit on the throne of David or to rule again in Judah.”
1WOE TO! [THE] SHEPHERDS [WHO] ARE CAUSING TO STRAY AND [WHO ARE] SCATTERING <OBJ.> [THE] FLOCK OF PASTURE MY [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH David’s Righteous Branch 1“Woe to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of My pasture!” declares the LORD.
2<TO> THEREFORE THUS HE SAYS YAHWEH [THE] GOD OF ISRAEL ON THE SHEPHERDS WHO ARE SHEPHERDING <OBJ.> PEOPLE MY YOU YOU HAVE SCATTERED <OBJ.> FLOCK MY AND YOU HAVE DRIVEN AWAY THEM AND NOT YOU HAVE PAID ATTENTION TO <OBJ.> THEM HERE I [AM] ABOUT TO VISIT ON YOU <OBJ.> [THE] WICKEDNESS OF DEEDS YOUR [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH 2Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says about the shepherds who tend My people: “You have scattered My flock and driven them away, and have not attended to them. Behold, I will attend to you for the evil of your deeds, declares the LORD.
3AND I I WILL GATHER TOGETHER <OBJ.> [THE] REMNANT OF FLOCK MY FROM ALL THE LANDS WHERE I HAVE BANISHED <OBJ.> THEM THERE AND I WILL BRING BACK <OBJ.> THEM TO PASTURE THEIR AND THEY WILL BE FRUITFUL AND THEY WILL INCREASE 3Then I Myself will gather the remnant of My flock from all the lands to which I have banished them, and I will return them to their pasture, where they will be fruitful and multiply.
4AND I WILL RAISE UP OVER THEM SHEPHERDS AND THEY WILL SHEPHERD THEM AND NOT THEY WILL BE AFRAID AGAIN AND NOT THEY WILL BE TERRIFIED AND NOT THEY WILL BE MISSING [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH 4I will raise up shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or dismayed, nor will any go missing, declares the LORD.
5HERE! DAYS [ARE] COMING [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH AND I WILL RAISE UP FOR DAVID A BRANCH RIGHTEOUS AND HE WILL REIGN A KING AND HE WILL ACT PRUDENTLY AND HE WILL DO JUSTICE AND RIGHTEOUSNESS IN THE LAND 5Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will raise up for David*NoteCloseOr up for David’s line a righteous Branch, and He will reign wisely as King and will administer justice and righteousness in the land.
6IN DAYS HIS IT WILL BE SAVED JUDAH AND ISRAEL IT WILL DWELL TO SECURITY AND THIS [WILL BE] NAME HIS WHICH ANYONE WILL CALL HIM YAHWEH [IS] RIGHTEOUSNESS OUR 6In His days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. 7<TO> THEREFORE HERE! DAYS [ARE] COMING [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH AND NOT PEOPLE WILL SAY AGAIN [BY] [THE] LIFE OF YAHWEH WHO HE BROUGHT UP <OBJ.> [THE] PEOPLE OF ISRAEL FROM [THE] LAND OF EGYPT 7So behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when they will no longer say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives, who brought the Israelites up out of the land of Egypt.’
8THAT EXCEPT [BY] [THE] LIFE OF YAHWEH WHO HE BROUGHT UP AND WHO HE BROUGHT <OBJ.> [THE] OFFSPRING OF [THE] HOUSE OF ISRAEL FROM A LAND NORTH -WARD AND FROM ALL THE LANDS WHERE I BANISHED THEM THERE AND THEY WILL DWELL ON OWN LAND THEIR 8Instead they will say, ‘As surely as the LORD lives, who brought and led the descendants of the house of Israel up out of the land of the north and all the other lands to which He had banished them Then they will dwell once more in their own land.”
9OF THE PROPHETS IT IS BROKEN HEART MY IN INNER BEING MY THEY HAVE BECOME WEAK ALL BONES MY I HAVE BECOME LIKE A PERSON DRUNKEN AND LIKE A MAN [WHOM] IT HAS PASSED OVER HIM WINE <FROM> BECAUSE OF YAHWEH AND <FROM> BECAUSE OF [THE] WORDS OF HOLINESS HIS Lying Prophets 9As for the prophets: My heart is broken within me, and all my bones tremble. I have become like a drunkard, like a man overcome by wine, because of the LORD, because of His holy words.
10FOR ADULTERERS IT IS FULL THE LAND FOR <FROM> BECAUSE OF A CURSE IT HAS DRIED UP THE LAND THEY HAVE BECOME DRY [THE] PASTURES OF [THE] WILDERNESS AND IT HAS BECOME COURSE [OF LIFE] THEIR EVIL AND STRENGTH THEIR [IS] NOT RIGHT 10For the land is full of adulterers— because of the curse, the land mourns and the pastures of the wilderness have dried up— their course is evil and their power is misused.
11FOR BOTH PROPHET AS WELL AS PRIEST THEY ARE POLLUTED ALSO IN HOUSE MY I HAVE FOUND WICKEDNESS THEIR [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH 11“For both prophet and priest are ungodly; even in My house I have found their wickedness,” declares the LORD.
12<TO> THEREFORE IT WILL BECOME PATH THEIR FOR <THE> THEM LIKE SLIPPERY PLACES IN THE DARKNESS THEY WILL BE PUSHED DOWN AND THEY WILL FALL ON <THE> IT FOR I WILL BRING ON THEM CALAMITY [THE] YEAR OF PUNISHMENT THEIR [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH 12“Therefore their path will become slick; they will be driven away into the darkness and fall into it. For I will bring disaster upon them in the year of their punishment,” declares the LORD.
13AND AMONG [THE] PROPHETS OF SAMARIA I SAW OFFENSIVENESS THEY PROPHESIED BY <THE> BAAL AND THEY CAUSED TO ERR <OBJ.> PEOPLE MY <OBJ.> ISRAEL 13“Among the prophets of Samaria I saw an offensive thing: They prophesied by Baal and led My people Israel astray.
14AND AMONG [THE] PROPHETS OF JERUSALEM I HAVE SEEN A HORRIBLE [THING] THEY HAVE COMMITTED ADULTERY AND THEY HAVE WALKED IN <THE> FALSEHOOD AND THEY HAVE STRENGTHENED [THE] HANDS OF EVIL-DOERS TO NOT THEY HAVE TURNED AWAY ANYONE FROM EVIL HIS THEY HAVE BECOME TO <THE> ME ALL OF THEM LIKE SODOM AND INHABITANTS ITS LIKE GOMORRAH 14And among the prophets of Jerusalem I have seen a horrible thing: They commit adultery and walk in lies. They strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns his back on wickedness. They are all like Sodom to Me; the people of Jerusalem are like Gomorrah.”
15<TO> THEREFORE THUS HE SAYS YAHWEH OF HOSTS ON THE PROPHETS HERE I [AM] ABOUT TO MAKE EAT <OBJ.> THEM WORMWOOD AND I WILL MAKE DRINK THEM WATER OF POISON FOR FROM WITH [THE] PROPHETS OF JERUSALEM IT HAS GONE OUT WICKED BEHAVIOR TO ALL THE LAND 15Therefore this is what the LORD of Hosts says concerning the prophets: “I will feed them wormwood and give them poisoned water to drink, for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has spread throughout the land.”
16THUS HE SAYS YAHWEH OF HOSTS MAY NOT YOU LISTEN TO [THE] WORDS OF THE PROPHETS WHO ARE PROPHESYING TO <THE> YOU [ARE] DELUDING THEY <OBJ.> YOU [THE] VISION OF OWN HEART THEIR THEY SPEAK NOT FROM [THE] MOUTH OF YAHWEH 16This is what the LORD of Hosts says: “Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy to you. They are filling you with false hopes. They speak visions from their own minds, not from the mouth of the LORD.
17[THEY ARE] SAYING CONTINUALLY <TO SAY> TO [THOSE WHO] DESPISE ME HE SAYS YAHWEH PEACE IT WILL BELONG TO <THE> YOU AND EVERY [ONE WHO] WALKS IN [THE] STUBBORNNESS OF OWN HEART HIS THEY HAVE SAID NOT IT WILL COME ON YOU CALAMITY 17They keep saying to those who despise Me, ‘The LORD says that you will have peace,’ and to everyone who walks in the stubbornness of his own heart, ‘No harm will come to you.’
18FOR WHO? HAS HE STOOD IN [THE] COUNCIL OF YAHWEH SO HE MAY SEE AND HE MAY HEAR <OBJ.> WORD HIS WHO? HAS HE PAID ATTENTION TO WORD HIS AND HAS HE LISTENED? 18But which of them has stood in the council of the LORD to see and hear His word? Who has given heed to His word and obeyed it?
19THERE! [THE] STORM OF YAHWEH RAGE IT HAS GONE OUT AND A STORM WHIRLING ON [THE] HEAD OF WICKED [PEOPLE] IT WILL WHIRL ABOUT 19Behold, the storm of the LORD has gone out with fury, a whirlwind swirling down upon the heads of the wicked.
20NOT IT WILL TURN BACK [THE] ANGER OF YAHWEH UNTIL HAS BROUGHT ABOUT HE AND UNTIL HAS CARRIED OUT HE [THE] PURPOSES OF HEART HIS AT [THE] END OF THE DAYS YOU WILL UNDERSTAND <IN> <THE> IT UNDERSTANDING 20The anger of the LORD will not turn back until He has fully accomplished the purposes of His heart. In the days to come you will understand this clearly.
21NOT I SENT <OBJ.> THE PROPHETS AND THEY THEY RAN NOT I SPOKE TO THEM AND THEY THEY PROPHESIED 21I did not send these prophets, yet they have run with their message; I did not speak to them, yet they have prophesied.
22AND IF THEY HAD STOOD IN COUNCIL MY SO THEY MAY CAUSE TO HEAR WORDS MY <OBJ.> PEOPLE MY AND THEY WILL TURN BACK THEM FROM WAY THEIR <THE> WICKED AND FROM [THE] WICKEDNESS OF DEEDS THEIR 22But if they had stood in My council, they would have proclaimed My words to My people and turned them back from their evil ways and deeds.”
23¿ A GOD FROM NEAR [AM] I [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH AND NOT A GOD FROM A DISTANCE 23“Am I only a God nearby,” declares the LORD, “and not a God far away?”
24OR? WILL HE HIDE HIMSELF ANYONE IN <THE> HIDING PLACES AND I NOT I WILL SEE HIM [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH ¿ NOT <OBJ.> THE HEAVENS AND <OBJ.> THE EARTH [AM] I FILLING [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH 24“Can a man hide in secret places where I cannot see him?” declares the LORD. “Do I not fill the heavens and the earth?” declares the LORD.
25I HAVE HEARD <OBJ.> [THAT] WHICH THEY HAVE SAID THE PROPHETS WHO PROPHESY IN NAME MY FALSEHOOD <TO> SAYING I HAVE DREAMED I HAVE DREAMED 25“I have heard the sayings of the prophets who prophesy lies in My name: ‘I had a dream! I had a dream!’
26UNTIL WHEN? ¿ [IS] THERE IN [THE] HEART OF THE PROPHETS [WHO] PROPHESY <OF THE> FALSEHOOD AND [THE] PROPHETS OF [THE] DECEITFULNESS OF OWN HEART THEIR 26How long will this continue in the hearts of these prophets who prophesy falsehood, these prophets of the delusion of their own minds?
27WHO PLAN TO MAKE FORGET <OBJ.> PEOPLE MY NAME MY BY DREAMS THEIR WHICH THEY RECOUNT EACH TO NEIGHBOR HIS JUST AS THEY FORGOT ANCESTORS THEIR <OBJ.> NAME MY FOR <THE> BAAL 27They suppose the dreams that they tell one another will make My people forget My name, just as their fathers forgot My name through the worship of Baal.
28THE PROPHET WHOM [IS] WITH HIM A DREAM LET HIM RECOUNT [THE] DREAM AND WHOM WORD MY [IS] WITH HIM LET HIM SPEAK WORD MY FAITHFULNESS WHAT? [BELONGS] TO THE STRAW WITH THE GRAIN [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH 28Let the prophet who has a dream retell it, but let him who has My word speak it truthfully. For what is straw compared to grain?” declares the LORD.
29¿ NOT THUS [IS] WORD MY LIKE <THE> FIRE [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH AND LIKE A HAMMER [WHICH] IT SHATTERS ROCK 29“Is not My word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that smashes a rock?”
30<TO> THEREFORE HERE I [AM] ON THE PROPHETS [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH [WHO] STEAL <OF> WORDS MY EACH FROM WITH NEIGHBOR HIS 30“Therefore behold,” declares the LORD, “I am against the prophets who steal from one another words they attribute to Me.”
31HERE I [AM] ON THE PROPHETS [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH WHO TAKE TONGUE THEIR AND THEY HAVE UTTERED AN UTTERANCE 31“Yes,” declares the LORD, “I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and proclaim, ‘The LORD declares it.’”
32HERE I [AM] ON [THOSE WHO] PROPHESY <OF> DREAMS OF FALSEHOOD [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH AND THEY HAVE RECOUNTED THEM AND THEY CAUSED TO ERR <OBJ.> PEOPLE MY BY FALSEHOODS THEIR AND BY RECKLESSNESS THEIR AND I NOT I SENT THEM AND NOT I APPOINTED THEM AND CERTAINLY <TO BENEFIT> NOT THEY BENEFIT <TO> THE PEOPLE <THE> THIS [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH 32“Indeed,” declares the LORD, “I am against those who prophesy false dreams and retell them to lead My people astray with their reckless lies. It was not I who sent them or commanded them, and they are of no benefit at all to these people,” declares the LORD.
33AND IF IT WILL ASK YOU THE PEOPLE <THE> THIS OR THE PROPHET OR A PRIEST <TO> SAYING WHAT? [IS] [THE] BURDEN OF YAHWEH AND YOU WILL SAY TO THEM <OBJ.> WHAT? BURDEN AND I WILL ABANDON <OBJ.> YOU [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH False Prophecies 33“Now when this people or a prophet or priest asks you, ‘What is the burden of the LORD?’ you are to say to them ‘What burden? I will forsake you, declares the LORD.’
34AND THE PROPHET AND THE PRIEST AND THE PEOPLE WHO HE WILL SAY [THE] BURDEN OF YAHWEH AND I WILL VISIT [JUDGMENT] ON THE PERSON <THE> THAT AND ON HOUSE HIS 34As for the prophet or priest or anyone who claims, ‘This is the burden of the LORD,’ I will punish that man and his household.
35THUS YOU WILL SAY EACH TO NEIGHBOR HIS AND EACH TO BROTHER HIS WHAT? DID HE ANSWER YAHWEH AND WHAT? DID HE SAY YAHWEH 35This is what each man is to say to his friend and to his brother: ‘What has the LORD answered?’ or ‘What has the LORD spoken?’
36AND [THE] BURDEN OF YAHWEH NOT YOU WILL REMEMBER AGAIN FOR THE BURDEN IT IS FOR A PERSON OWN WORD HIS AND YOU CHANGE <OBJ.> [THE] WORDS OF GOD LIVING YAHWEH OF HOSTS GOD OUR 36But refer no more to the burden of the LORD, for each man’s word becomes the burden, so that you pervert the words of the living God, the LORD of Hosts, our God.
37THUS YOU WILL SAY TO THE PROPHET WHAT? DID HE ANSWER YOU YAHWEH AND WHAT? DID HE SAY YAHWEH 37Thus you are to say to the prophet: ‘What has the LORD answered you?’ and ‘What has the LORD spoken?’
38AND IF [THE] BURDEN OF YAHWEH YOU WILL SAY <TO> THEREFORE THUS HE SAYS YAHWEH BECAUSE HAVE SPOKEN YOU <OBJ.> THE WORD <THE> THIS [THE] BURDEN OF YAHWEH AND I SENT TO YOU <TO> SAYING NOT YOU MUST SAY [THE] BURDEN OF YAHWEH 38But if you claim, ‘This is the burden of the LORD,’ then this is what the LORD says: Because you have said,. ‘This is the burden of the LORD,’ and I specifically told you not to make this claim
39<TO> THEREFORE HERE [AM] I AND I WILL SURELY <FORGET> <OBJ.> YOU LIFT UP AND I WILL ABANDON <OBJ.> YOU AND <OBJ.> THE CITY WHICH I GAVE TO YOU AND TO ANCESTORS YOUR FROM ON FACE MY 39therefore I will surely forget you and will cast you out of My presence, both you and the city that I gave to you and your fathers.
40AND I WILL PUT ON YOU A REPROACH OF PERPETUITY AND SHAME OF PERPETUITY WHICH NOT IT WILL BE FORGOTTEN 40And I will bring upon you everlasting shame and perpetual humiliation that will never be forgotten.”
