1ALSO TO THIS IT TREMBLES HEART MY SO IT MAY LEAP FROM PLACE ITS Elihu Proclaims God’s Majesty 1“At this my heart also pounds and leaps from its place.
2LISTEN COMPLETELY <TO LISTEN> TO [THE] RAGING OF VOICE HIS AND [THE] RUMBLING [WHICH] FROM MOUTH HIS IT COMES OUT 2Listen closely to the thunder of His voice and the rumbling that comes from His mouth.
3UNDER ALL THE HEAVENS HE LETS LOOSE IT AND LIGHT HIS TO [THE] CORNERS OF THE EARTH 3He unleashes His lightning beneath the whole sky and sends it to the ends of the earth.
4AFTER IT IT ROARS A VOICE HE THUNDERS WITH [THE] VOICE OF MAJESTY HIS AND NOT HE HOLDS BACK THEM IF IT IS HEARD VOICE HIS 4Then there comes a roaring sound; He thunders with His majestic voice. He does not restrain the lightning when His voice resounds.
5HE THUNDERS GOD WITH VOICE HIS WONDERS [HE IS] DOING GREAT [THINGS] AND NOT WE KNOW 5God thunders wondrously with His voice; He does great things we cannot comprehend.
6FOR TO THE SNOW HE SAYS FALL EARTH AND [THE] SHOWER OF RAIN AND [THE] SHOWER OF [THE] RAINS OF STRENGTH HIS 6For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the gentle rain, ‘Pour out a mighty downpour.’
7ON [THE] HAND OF EVERY PERSON HE PUTS A SEAL TO KNOW ALL [THE] PEOPLE OF WORK HIS 7He seals up the hand of every man, so that all men may know His work.
8AND IT WENT AN ANIMAL IN A LAIR AND IN DENS ITS IT DWELLS 8The wild animals enter their lairs; they settle down in their dens.
9FROM THE CHAMBER IT COMES A STORM-WIND AND FROM [THE] SCATTERING WINDS COLDNESS 9The tempest comes from its chamber, and the cold from the driving north winds.
10FROM [THE] BREATH OF GOD IT GIVES ICE AND [THE] BREADTH OF [THE] WATERS [IS] <IN> CONSTRAINT 10By the breath of God the ice is formed and the watery expanses are frozen.
11ALSO WITH MOISTURE HE BURDENS [THE] DARK CLOUD[S] HE SCATTERS [THE] CLOUD OF LIGHT HIS 11He loads the clouds with moisture; He scatters His lightning through them.
12AND IT ROUND ABOUT [IS] TURNING EVERY WAY BY GUIDANCE<S> HIS TO DO THEY ALL THAT HE COMMANDS THEM OVER [THE] SURFACE OF [THE] WORLD [THE] EARTH TOWARDS 12They swirl about, whirling at His direction, accomplishing all that He commands over the face of all the earth.
13WHETHER FOR A ROD OR FOR EARTH HIS OR FOR COVENANT LOYALTY HE MAKES FIND IT 13Whether for punishment or for His land, He accomplishes this in His loving devotion.
14GIVE EAR TO! THIS O JOB STAND STILL AND CONSIDER DILIGENTLY [THE] WONDERS OF GOD 14Listen to this, O Job; stand still and consider the wonders of God.
15¿ DO YOU KNOW WHEN APPOINTS GOD ON THEM AND HE MAKES SHINE FORTH [THE] LIGHT OF CLOUD HIS 15Do you know how God dispatches the clouds or makes the lightning flash?
16¿ DO YOU KNOW ON [THE] BALANCING<S> OF [THE] CLOUD[S] [THE] WONDROUS WORKS OF [ONE] COMPLETE OF KNOWLEDGE<S> 16Do you understand how the clouds float, those wonders of Him who is perfect in knowledge?
17[YOU] WHOM CLOTHES YOUR [ARE] HOT WHEN IS STILL [THE] EARTH FROM [THE] SOUTH 17You whose clothes get hot when the land lies hushed under the south wind,
18WILL YOU SPREAD OUT? WITH HIM <TO> CLOUDS HARD LIKE A MIRROR MOLTEN 18can you, like Him, spread out the skies, as strong as a mirror of bronze?
19MAKE KNOWN TO US WHAT? WILL WE SAY TO HIM NOT WE WILL SET IN ORDER <FROM> BECAUSE OF DARKNESS 19Teach us what we should say to Him; we cannot draw up our case because of our darkness.
20¿ WILL IT BE RECOUNTED TO HIM THAT I WILL SPEAK OR? DID HE SAY ANYONE THAT HE WILL BE SWALLOWED UP 20Should He be told that I want to speak? Would a man ask to be swallowed up*NoteCloseOr speak without being swallowed up?
21AND NOW NOT PEOPLE SEE A LIGHT [IS] BRILLIANT IT IN THE CLOUDS AND [THE] WIND IT HAS PASSED BY AND IT HAS CLEANSED THEM 21Now no one can gaze at the sun when it is bright in the skies after the wind has swept them clean.
22FROM [THE] NORTH GOLD IT COMES [IS] ON GOD AWESOME OF MAJESTY 22Out of the north He comes in golden splendor; awesome majesty surrounds Him.
23[THE] ALMIGHTY NOT WE HAVE FOUND HIM EXALTED OF POWER AND JUSTICE AND GREATNESS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS NOT HE VIOLATES 23The Almighty is beyond our reach; He is exalted in power! In His justice and great righteousness He does not oppress.
24<TO> THEREFORE THEY FEAR HIM PEOPLE NOT HE SEES ANY [PEOPLE] WISE OF HEART 24Therefore, men fear Him, for He is not partial to the wise in heart.”
