36AND HE DID AARON AND SONS HIS <OBJ.> ALL THE THINGS WHICH HE HAD COMMANDED YAHWEH BY [THE] HAND OF MOSES 36So Aaron and his sons did everything the LORD had commanded through Moses.
1AND IT WAS ON THE DAY <THE> EIGHTH HE SUMMONED MOSES <TO> AARON AND <TO> SONS HIS AND <TO> [THE] ELDERS OF ISRAEL Aaron’s First Offerings 1On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.
2AND HE SAID TO AARON TAKE FOR <THE> YOURSELF A MALE CALF A YOUNG ONE OF [THE] HERD TO A SIN OFFERING AND A RAM TO A BURNT OFFERING UNBLEMISHED AND PRESENT [THEM] <TO> BEFORE YAHWEH 2He said to Aaron, “Take for yourself a young bull for a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering, both without blemish, and present them before the LORD.
3AND TO [THE] PEOPLE OF ISRAEL YOU WILL SPEAK <TO> SAYING TAKE A MALE GOAT OF GOATS TO A SIN OFFERING AND A MALE CALF AND A MALE LAMB SONS OF A YEAR UNBLEMISHED TO A BURNT OFFERING 3Then speak to the Israelites and say, ‘Take a male goat for a sin offering, a calf and a lamb— both a year old and without blemish— for a burnt offering,
4AND AN OX AND A RAM TO PEACE OFFERINGS TO SACRIFICE <TO> BEFORE YAHWEH AND A GRAIN OFFERING MIXED WITH <THE> OIL FOR THIS DAY YAHWEH HE WILL APPEAR TO YOU 4an ox*NoteCloseOr a bull or a cow; also in verses 18 and 19 and a ram for a peace offering to sacrifice before the LORD, and a grain offering mixed with oil. For today the LORD will appear to you.’”
5AND THEY TOOK <OBJ.> [THAT] WHICH HE HAD COMMANDED MOSES TO [THE] FACE OF [THE] TENT OF MEETING AND THEY DREW NEAR ALL THE CONGREGATION AND THEY STOOD <TO> BEFORE YAHWEH 5So they took what Moses had commanded to the front of the Tent of Meeting, and the whole congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.
6AND HE SAID MOSES THIS [IS] THE THING WHICH HE HAS COMMANDED YAHWEH YOU WILL DO AND IT MAY APPEAR TO YOU [THE] GLORY OF YAHWEH 6And Moses said, “This is what the LORD has commanded you to do, so that the glory of the LORD may appear to you.”
7AND HE SAID MOSES TO AARON DRAW NEAR TO THE ALTAR AND OFFER <OBJ.> SIN OFFERING YOUR AND <OBJ.> BURNT OFFERING YOUR AND MAKE ATONEMENT FOR YOURSELF AND FOR THE PEOPLE AND OFFER <OBJ.> [THE] PRESENT OF THE PEOPLE AND MAKE ATONEMENT FOR THEM JUST AS HE HAS COMMANDED YAHWEH 7Then Moses said to Aaron, “Approach the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering to make atonement for yourself and for the people. And sacrifice the people’s offering to make atonement for them, as the LORD has commanded.”
8AND HE DREW NEAR AARON TO THE ALTAR AND HE CUT [THE] THROAT OF <OBJ.> [THE] MALE CALF OF THE SIN OFFERING WHICH [WAS] FOR <THE> HIMSELF 8So Aaron approached the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sin offering for himself.
9AND THEY PRESENTED [THE] SONS OF AARON <OBJ.> THE BLOOD TO HIM AND HE DIPPED FINGER HIS IN THE BLOOD AND HE PUT [IT] ON [THE] HORNS OF THE ALTAR AND <OBJ.> THE BLOOD HE POURED TO [THE] BASE OF THE ALTAR 9The sons of Aaron brought the blood to him, and he dipped his finger in the blood and applied it to the horns of the altar. And he poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.
10AND <OBJ.> THE FAT AND <OBJ.> THE KIDNEYS AND <OBJ.> THE LOBE FROM THE LIVER FROM THE SIN OFFERING HE MADE SMOKE THE ALTAR TOWARDS JUST AS HE HAD COMMANDED YAHWEH <OBJ.> MOSES 10On the altar he burned the fat, the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver from the sin offering, as the LORD had commanded Moses.
11AND <OBJ.> THE FLESH AND <OBJ.> THE HIDE HE BURNED WITH <THE> FIRE FROM [THE] OUTSIDE OF THE CAMP 11But he burned up the flesh and the hide outside the camp.
12AND HE CUT [THE] THROAT OF <OBJ.> THE BURNT OFFERING AND THEY BROUGHT FORWARD [THE] SONS OF AARON TO HIM <OBJ.> THE BLOOD AND HE SPRINKLED IT ON THE ALTAR ALL AROUND 12Then Aaron slaughtered the burnt offering. His sons brought him the blood, and he splattered it on all sides of the altar.
13AND <OBJ.> THE BURNT OFFERING THEY BROUGHT FORWARD TO HIM TO PIECES ITS AND <OBJ.> THE HEAD AND HE MADE [THEM] SMOKE ON THE ALTAR 13They brought him the burnt offering piece by piece, including the head, and he burned them on the altar.
14AND HE WASHED <OBJ.> THE ENTRAILS AND <OBJ.> THE LEGS AND HE MADE [THEM] SMOKE ON THE BURNT OFFERING THE ALTAR TOWARDS 14He washed the entrails and the legs and burned them atop the burnt offering on the altar.
15AND HE PRESENTED <OBJ.> [THE] PRESENT OF THE PEOPLE AND HE TOOK <OBJ.> [THE] MALE GOAT OF THE SIN OFFERING WHICH [WAS] FOR THE PEOPLE AND HE CUT THROAT ITS AND HE MADE A SIN OFFERING IT LIKE THE FIRST [OFFERING] 15Aaron then presented the people’s offering. He took the male goat for the people’s sin offering, slaughtered it, and offered it for sin like the first one.
16AND HE PRESENTED <OBJ.> THE BURNT OFFERING AND HE OFFERED IT ACCORDING TO THE ORDINANCE 16He presented the burnt offering and offered it according to the ordinance.
17AND HE PRESENTED <OBJ.> THE GRAIN OFFERING AND HE FILLED PALM HIS SOME OF IT AND HE MADE [IT] SMOKE ON THE ALTAR <FROM> <TO> BESIDES [THE] BURNT OFFERING OF THE MORNING 17Next he presented the grain offering, took a handful of it, and burned it on the altar in addition to the morning’s burnt offering.
18AND HE CUT [THE] THROAT OF <OBJ.> THE OX AND <OBJ.> THE RAM [THE] SACRIFICE OF THE PEACE OFFERINGS WHICH [WAS] FOR THE PEOPLE AND THEY BROUGHT FORWARD [THE] SONS OF AARON <OBJ.> THE BLOOD TO HIM AND HE SPRINKLED IT ON THE ALTAR ALL AROUND 18Then he slaughtered the ox and the ram as the people’s peace offering. His sons brought him the blood, and he splattered it on all sides of the altar.
19AND <OBJ.> THE FAT<S> FROM THE OX AND FROM THE RAM THE FAT TAIL AND THE COVERING AND THE KIDNEYS AND [THE] LOBE OF THE LIVER 19They also brought the fat portions from the ox and the ram— the fat tail, the fat covering the entrails, the kidneys, and the lobe of the liver—
20AND THEY PLACED <OBJ.> THE FAT<S> ON THE BREASTS AND HE MADE SMOKE THE FAT<S> THE ALTAR TOWARDS 20and placed these on the breasts. Aaron burned the fat portions on the altar,
21AND <OBJ.> THE BREASTS AND <OBJ.> [THE] THIGH OF THE RIGHT HE WAVED AARON A WAVE-OFFERING <TO> BEFORE YAHWEH JUST AS HE HAD COMMANDED MOSES 21but he waved the breasts and the right thigh as a wave offering before the LORD, as Moses had commanded.
22AND HE LIFTED UP AARON <OBJ.> HANDS HIS TO THE PEOPLE AND HE BLESSED THEM AND HE CAME DOWN FROM WHEN OFFERED THE SIN OFFERING AND THE BURNT OFFERING AND THE PEACE OFFERINGS 22Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people and blessed them. And having made the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offering, he stepped down.
23AND HE WENT MOSES AND AARON INTO [THE] TENT OF MEETING AND THEY CAME OUT AND THEY BLESSED <OBJ.> THE PEOPLE AND IT APPEARED [THE] GLORY OF YAHWEH TO ALL THE PEOPLE 23Moses and Aaron then entered the Tent of Meeting. When they came out, they blessed the people, and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people.
24AND IT WENT OUT FIRE FROM TO BEFORE YAHWEH AND IT CONSUMED ON THE ALTAR <OBJ.> THE BURNT OFFERING AND <OBJ.> THE FAT<S> AND IT SAW ALL THE PEOPLE AND THEY SHOUTED AND THEY FELL ON FACES THEIR 24Fire came out from the presence of the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the fat portions on the altar. And when all the people saw it, they shouted for joy and fell facedown.
