21AND NOT THEY REPENTED OF THE MURDERS OF THEM NOR OF THE SORCERIES OF THEM NOR OF THE SEXUAL IMMORALITY OF THEM NOR OF THE THEFTS OF THEM. 21Furthermore, they did not repent of their murder, sorcery, sexual immorality, and theft.
1AND I SAW ANOTHER ANGEL MIGHTY COMING DOWN OUT OF <THE> HEAVEN HAVING CLOTHED HIMSELF WITH A CLOUD, AND THE RAINBOW UPON THE HEAD OF HIM, AND THE FACE OF HIM [WAS] LIKE THE SUN, AND THE FEET OF HIM LIKE PILLARS OF FIRE, The Angel and the Small Scroll (Ezekiel 3:1–15) 1Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow above his head. His face was like the sun, and his legs were like pillars of fire.
2AND HAVING IN THE HAND OF HIM A LITTLE SCROLL OPENED AND HE PLACED THE FOOT OF HIM <THE> RIGHT UPON THE SEA, THE AND LEFT UPON THE EARTH, 2He held in his hand a small scroll, which lay open. He placed his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land.
3AND HE CRIED OUT IN A VOICE LOUD AS A LION ROARS. AND WHEN HE CRIED OUT, SOUNDED THE SEVEN THUNDERS THE THEIR OWN VOICE. 3Then he cried out in a loud voice like the roar of a lion. And when he cried out, the seven thunders sounded their voices.
4AND WHEN SPOKE THE SEVEN THUNDERS, THE VOICES OF THEMSELVES I WAS ABOUT TO WRITE. BUT I HEARD A VOICE OUT OF <THE> HEAVEN SAYING TO ME DO SEAL WHAT SPOKE THE SEVEN THUNDERS, AND NOT THEM MAY WRITE. 4When the seven thunders had spoken, I was about to put it in writing. But I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up what the seven thunders have said, and do not write it down. ”
5AND THE ANGEL WHOM I SAW STANDING ON THE SEA AND ON THE LAND LIFTED UP THE HAND OF HIM THE RIGHT TO <THE> HEAVEN 5Then the angel I had seen standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to heaven.
6AND HE SWORE BY THE [ONE] LIVING TO THE AGES OF THE AGES, WHO CREATED <THE> HEAVEN AND THE [THINGS] IN IT AND THE EARTH AND THE [THINGS] IN IT AND THE SEA AND THE [THINGS] IN IT THAT DELAY NO LONGER WILL THERE BE! 6And he swore by Him who lives forever and ever, who created heaven and everything in it, the earth and everything in it, and the sea and everything in it: “There will be no more delay!
7BUT IN THE DAYS OF THE VOICE OF THE SEVENTH ANGEL, WHEN HE MAY SOON TO SOUND [THE] TRUMPET, THEN WOULD BE COMPLETED THE MYSTERY <THE> OF GOD, AS EVANGELISED [TO] THOSE HIS OWN SERVANTS [TO] THE PROPHETS. 7But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he begins to sound his trumpet, the mystery of God will be fulfilled, just as He proclaimed to His servants the prophets. ”
8AND THE VOICE THAT I HEARD OUT OF <THE> HEAVEN AGAIN WAS SPEAKING WITH ME AND SAYING; DO GO DO TAKE THE LITTLE SCROLL WHICH OPENED IN THE HAND OF THE ANGEL WHO STANDING UPON THE SEA AND UPON THE LAND. 8Then the voice that I had heard from heaven spoke to me again, saying, “Go, take the small scroll that lies open in the hand of the angel standing on the sea and on the land. ”
9AND I WENT TO THE ANGEL SAYING TO HIM TO GIVE ME THE LITTLE SCROLL. AND HE SAYS TO ME; DO TAKE AND DO EAT IT. AND IT WILL MAKE BITTER YOUR <THE> STOMACH, BUT IN THE MOUTH OF YOU IT WILL BE SWEET AS HONEY. 9And I went to the angel and said “Give me the small scroll. ” “Take it and eat it, ” he said It will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be as sweet as honey.”*NoteCloseSee Numbers 5:24 and Ezekiel 3:3.
10AND I TOOK THE LITTLE SCROLL OUT OF THE HAND OF THE ANGEL AND I ATE IT, AND IT WAS IN THE MOUTH OF MINE AS HONEY SWEET; AND WHEN I HAD EATEN IT, WAS MADE BITTER THE STOMACH OF MINE. 10So I took the small scroll from the angel’s hand and ate it, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. But when I had eaten it, my stomach turned bitter.
11AND THEY SAY TO ME; IT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU AGAIN TO PROPHESY CONCERNING PEOPLES AND CONCERNING NATIONS AND [CONCERNING] TONGUES AND [CONCERNING] KINGS MANY. 11And they told me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples and nations and tongues and kings. ”
