11AND THEY SAY TO ME; IT IS NECESSARY FOR YOU AGAIN TO PROPHESY CONCERNING PEOPLES AND CONCERNING NATIONS AND [CONCERNING] TONGUES AND [CONCERNING] KINGS MANY. 11And they told me, “You must prophesy again about many peoples and nations and tongues and kings. ”
1AND WAS GIVEN TO ME A MEASURING ROD LIKE AS A STAFF SAYING; DO RISE AND DO MEASURE THE TEMPLE <THE> OF GOD AND THE ALTAR, AND THOSE WORSHIPING IN IT. The Two Witnesses 1Then I was given a measuring rod like a staff and was told, “Go and measure the temple of God and the altar, and count the number of worshipers there.
2AND THE COURTYARD <THE> OUTSIDE THE TEMPLE DO LEAVE OUTSIDE, AND NOT IT MAY MEASURE, BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN GIVEN [UP] TO THE NATIONS; AND THE CITY <THE> HOLY THEY WILL TRAMPLE UPON MONTHS FORTY AND TWO. 2But exclude the courtyard outside the temple. Do not measure it, because it has been given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for 42 months.
3AND I WILL GRANT TO THE TWO WITNESSES OF MINE, AND THEY WILL PROPHESY DAYS A THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED SIXTY HAVING CLOTHED THEMSELVES IN SACKCLOTH. 3And I will empower my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth. ”
4THESE ARE THE TWO OLIVE TREES AND THE TWO LAMPSTANDS <THE> BEFORE THE LORD OF THE EARTH STANDING. 4These witnesses are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth.*NoteCloseSee Zechariah 4:14.
5AND IF ANYONE THEM SHOULD DESIRE TO HARM, FIRE GOES OUT OF THE MOUTH OF THEM AND DEVOURS THE ENEMIES OF THEM; AND IF ANYONE SHALL DESIRE THEM TO HARM, THUS IT IS NECESSARY FOR HIM TO BE KILLED. 5If anyone wants to harm them, fire proceeds from their mouths and devours their enemies. In this way anyone who wants to harm them must be killed.
6THESE HAVE THE POWER TO SHUT THE SKY SO THAT NOT RAIN MAY FALL IN THE DAYS OF THE PROPHECY OF THEM, AND POWER THEY HAVE OVER THE WATERS TO TURN THEM INTO BLOOD AND TO STRIKE THE EARTH WITH EVERY PLAGUE AS OFTEN AS IF THEY SHALL DESIRE. 6These witnesses have power to shut the sky so that no rain will fall during the days of their prophecy, and power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they wish.
7AND WHEN THEY MAY HAVE COMPLETED THE TESTIMONY OF THEM, THE BEAST WHICH IS COMING UP OUT OF THE ABYSS WILL MAKE WITH THEM WAR AND HE WILL OVERCOME THEM AND HE WILL KILL THEM. The Witnesses Killed and Raised 7When the two witnesses have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will wage war with them, and will overpower and kill them.
8AND THE BODY OF THEM [WILL BE] UPON THE STREET OF THE CITY THE GREAT, WHICH IS CALLED FIGURATIVELY SODOM AND EGYPT, WHERE ALSO THE LORD OF THEM WAS CRUCIFIED. 8Their bodies will lie in the street of the great city— figuratively called Sodom and Egypt— where their Lord was also crucified.
9AND GAZE [THOSE] OF THE PEOPLES AND TRIBES AND TONGUES AND NATIONS [ON] THE BODY OF THEM DAYS THREE AND A HALF, AND THE BODIES OF THEM NOT THEY ALLOW TO BE PUT INTO A TOMB. 9For three and a half days all peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will view their bodies and will not permit them to be laid in a tomb.
10AND THOSE DWELLING ON THE EARTH DOES REJOICE OVER THEM AND DOES MAKE MERRY AND GIFTS WILL SEND TO ONE ANOTHER, BECAUSE THESE <THE> TWO PROPHETS TORMENTED THOSE DWELLING UPON THE EARTH. 10And those who dwell on the earth will gloat over them and celebrate and send one another gifts, because these two prophets had tormented them.
11AND AFTER THE THREE DAYS AND A HALF [THE] SPIRIT OF LIFE FROM <THE> GOD ENTERED IN THEM, AND THEY STOOD UPON THE FEET OF THEM, AND FEAR GREAT FELL UPON THOSE BEHOLDING THEM. 11But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God entered the two witnesses, and they stood on their feet, and great fear fell upon those who saw them.
12AND THEY HEARD A VOICE GREAT OUT OF <THE> HEAVEN SAYING TO THEM; DO COME UP HERE. AND THEY WENT UP TO <THE> HEAVEN IN THE CLOUD, AND BEHELD THEM THE ENEMIES OF THEM. 12And the witnesses heard a loud voice from heaven saying “Come up here. ” And they went up to heaven in a cloud as their enemies watched them.
13AND IN THAT [VERY] <THE> HOUR THERE WAS AN EARTHQUAKE GREAT, AND <THE> A TENTH OF THE CITY FELL, AND WERE KILLED IN THE EARTHQUAKE NAMES OF MEN THOUSAND SEVEN. AND THE REST TERRIFIED BECAME AND THEY GAVE GLORY TO THE GOD <THE> OF HEAVEN. 13And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand were killed in the quake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven.
14THE WOE <THE> SECOND HAS PASSED; BEHOLD THE WOE <THE> THIRD IS COMING QUICKLY. 14The second woe has passed. Behold, the third woe is coming shortly.
15AND THE SEVENTH ANGEL SOUNDED [HIS] TRUMPET, AND THERE WERE VOICES GREAT IN <THE> HEAVEN SAYING: HAS BECOME THE KINGDOM OF THE WORLD [THAT] OF THE LORD OF US AND OF THE CHRIST OF HIM, AND HE WILL REIGN TO THE AGES OF THE AGES. The Seventh Trumpet 15Then the seventh angel sounded his trumpet, and loud voices called out in heaven: “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ, and He will reign forever and ever. ”
16AND THE TWENTY AND FOUR ELDERS <THE> BEFORE THE THRONE [OF] <THE> GOD WHO SITTING ON THE THRONES OF THEM FELL UPON THE FACES OF THEM AND WORSHIPED <THE> GOD 16And the twenty-four elders who sit on their thrones before God fell on their faces and worshiped God,
17SAYING: WE GIVE THANKS TO YOU, LORD <THE> GOD <THE> ALMIGHTY, WHO IS BEING AND WHO WAS AND WHO IS COMING FOR YOU HAVE TAKEN THE POWER OF YOU <THE> GREAT AND BEGAN TO REIGN. 17saying: “We give thanks to You, O Lord God Almighty, the One who is and who was,*NoteCloseTR includes and who is to come. because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign.
18AND THE NATIONS WERE ENRAGED, AND CAME THE WRATH OF YOU AND THE TIME FOR THE DEAD TO BE JUDGED AND TO GIVE THE REWARD TO THE SERVANTS OF YOU TO THE PROPHETS AND TO THE SAINTS AND TO THOSE FEARING THE NAME OF YOU, [TO] THE SMALL AND [TO] THE GREAT, AND TO DESTROY THOSE DESTROYING THE EARTH. 18The nations were enraged,*NoteCloseSee Psalm 2:1. and Your wrath has come. The time has come to judge the dead*NoteCloseSee Daniel 12:2. and to reward Your servants the prophets, as well as the saints and those who fear Your name, both small and great— and to destroy those who destroy the earth. ”
19AND WAS OPENED THE TEMPLE <THE> OF GOD <THE> IN <THE> HEAVEN, AND APPEARED THE ARK OF THE COVENANT OF HIM IN THE TEMPLE OF HIM, AND THERE WERE FLASHES OF LIGHTNING AND VOICES AND THUNDERS AND AN EARTHQUAKE AND HAIL GREAT. 19Then the temple of God in heaven was opened, and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple. And there were flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a great hailstorm.
