1AND IT WILL BE <IF> CERTAINLY [IF] <TO LISTEN> YOU WILL LISTEN TO [THE] VOICE OF YAHWEH GOD YOUR TO TAKE CARE TO OBSERVE <OBJ.> ALL COMMANDMENTS HIS WHICH I [AM] COMMANDING YOU THIS DAY AND HE WILL SET YOU YAHWEH GOD YOUR MOST HIGH ABOVE ALL [THE] NATIONS OF THE EARTH The Blessings of Obedience (Leviticus 25:18–22) 1“Now if you faithfully obey the voice of the LORD your God and are careful to follow all His commandments I am giving you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.
2AND THEY WILL COME ON YOU ALL THE BLESSINGS <THE> THESE AND THEY WILL OVERTAKE YOU IF YOU WILL LISTEN TO [THE] VOICE OF YAHWEH GOD YOUR 2And all these blessings will come upon you and overtake you, if you will obey the voice of the LORD your God:
3[WILL BE] BLESSED YOU IN THE CITY AND [WILL BE] BLESSED YOU IN THE OPEN COUNTRY 3You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.
4[WILL BE] BLESSED [THE] FRUIT OF WOMB YOUR AND [THE] FRUIT OF GROUND YOUR AND [THE] FRUIT OF LIVESTOCK YOUR [THE] YOUNG OF CATTLE<S> YOUR AND [THE] YOUNG ONES OF SHEEP YOUR 4The fruit of your womb will be blessed, as well as the produce of your land and the offspring of your livestock— the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.
5[WILL BE] BLESSED BASKET YOUR AND KNEADING TROUGH YOUR 5Your basket and kneading bowl will be blessed.
6[WILL BE] BLESSED YOU WHEN COMING YOU AND [WILL BE] BLESSED YOU WHEN GOING OUT YOU 6You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.
7HE WILL MAKE YAHWEH <OBJ.> ENEMIES YOUR WHO WILL ARISE ON YOU DEFEATED <TO> BEFORE YOU IN A DIRECTION ONE THEY WILL COME OUT AGAINST YOU AND IN SEVEN DIRECTIONS THEY WILL FLEE <TO> BEFORE YOU 7The LORD will cause the enemies who rise up against you to be defeated before you. They will march out against you in one direction but flee from you in seven.
8HE WILL COMMAND YAHWEH WITH YOU <OBJ.> THE BLESSING IN BARNS YOUR AND IN EVERY <THE> UNDERTAKING OF HAND YOUR AND HE WILL BLESS YOU IN THE LAND WHICH YAHWEH GOD YOUR [IS] ABOUT TO GIVE TO <THE> YOU 8The LORD will decree a blessing on your barns and on everything to which you put your hand; the LORD your God will bless you in the land He is giving you.
9HE WILL ESTABLISH YOU YAHWEH FOR <THE> HIMSELF TO A PEOPLE HOLY JUST AS HE SWORE TO <THE> YOU THAT [IF] YOU WILL KEEP <OBJ.> [THE] COMMANDMENTS OF YAHWEH GOD YOUR AND YOU WILL WALK IN WAYS HIS 9The LORD will establish you as His holy people, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the LORD your God and walk in His ways.
10AND THEY WILL SEE ALL [THE] PEOPLES OF THE EARTH THAT [THE] NAME OF YAHWEH IT IS CALLED ON YOU AND THEY WILL BE AFRAID FROM YOU 10Then all the peoples of the earth will see that you are called by the name of the LORD, and they will stand in awe of you.
11AND HE WILL MAKE ABOUND YOU YAHWEH TO GOOD IN [THE] FRUIT OF WOMB YOUR AND IN [THE] FRUIT OF LIVESTOCK YOUR AND IN [THE] FRUIT OF GROUND YOUR ON THE LAND WHICH HE SWORE YAHWEH TO ANCESTORS YOUR TO GIVE TO <THE> YOU 11The LORD will make you prosper abundantly— in the fruit of your womb, the offspring of your livestock, and the produce of your land— in the land that the LORD swore to your fathers to give you.
12HE WILL OPEN YAHWEH FOR <THE> YOU <OBJ.> STOREHOUSE HIS <THE> GOOD <OBJ.> THE HEAVENS TO GIVE [THE] RAIN OF LAND YOUR AT APPROPRIATE TIME ITS AND TO BLESS <OBJ.> ALL [THE] WORK OF HAND YOUR AND YOU WILL LEND TO NATIONS MANY AND YOU NOT YOU WILL BORROW 12The LORD will open the heavens, His abundant storehouse, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations, but borrow from none.
13AND HE WILL MAKE YOU YAHWEH INTO [THE] HEAD AND NOT INTO [THE] TAIL AND YOU WILL BE ONLY <TO> UPWARDS <TOWARDS> AND NOT YOU WILL BE <TO> DOWNWARDS IF YOU WILL LISTEN TO [THE] COMMANDMENTS OF YAHWEH GOD YOUR WHICH I [AM] COMMANDING YOU THIS DAY TO TAKE CARE AND TO DO 13The LORD will make you the head and not the tail; you will only move upward and never downward, if you hear and carefully follow the commandments of the LORD your God, which I am giving you today.
14AND NOT YOU WILL TURN ASIDE FROM ALL THE WORDS WHICH I [AM] COMMANDING <OBJ.> YOU THIS DAY RIGHT [HAND] AND LEFT [HAND] TO WALK AFTER GODS OTHER TO SERVE THEM 14Do not turn aside to the right or to the left from any of the words I command you today, and do not go after other gods to serve them.
15AND IT WILL BE IF NOT YOU WILL LISTEN TO [THE] VOICE OF YAHWEH GOD YOUR TO TAKE CARE TO OBSERVE <OBJ.> ALL COMMANDMENTS HIS AND STATUTES HIS WHICH I [AM] COMMANDING YOU THIS DAY AND THEY WILL COME ON YOU ALL THE CURSES <THE> THESE AND THEY WILL OVERTAKE YOU The Curses of Disobedience (Leviticus 20:1–9; Leviticus 26:14–39) 15If, however, you do not obey the LORD your God by carefully following all His commandments and statutes I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:

20HE WILL SEND YAHWEH ON <THE> YOU <OBJ.> THE CURSE <OBJ.> <THE> CONFUSION AND <OBJ.> <THE> REBUKE IN EVERY <THE> UNDERTAKING OF HAND YOUR WHICH YOU WILL DO UNTIL BEING DESTROYED YOU AND UNTIL PERISHING YOU QUICKLY <FROM> BECAUSE OF [THE] WICKEDNESS OF DEEDS YOUR WHICH YOU HAVE FORSAKEN ME 20The LORD will send curses upon you confusion and reproof in all to which you put your hand until you are destroyed and quickly perish because of the wickedness you have committed in forsaking Him.*NoteCloseHebrew Me
21HE WILL MAKE CLING YAHWEH TO YOU <OBJ.> <THE> PESTILENCE UNTIL HAS DESTROYED HE <OBJ.> YOU FROM ON THE LAND WHERE YOU [ARE] ABOUT TO GO THERE TOWARDS TO TAKE POSSESSION OF IT 21The LORD will make the plague cling to you until He has exterminated you from the land that you are entering to possess.
22HE WILL STRIKE YOU YAHWEH WITH <THE> CONSUMPTION AND WITH <THE> FEVER AND WITH <THE> INFLAMMATION AND WITH <THE> FEVERISH HEAT AND WITH THE SWORD AND WITH <THE> BLIGHT AND WITH <THE> MILDEW AND THEY WILL PURSUE YOU UNTIL PERISHING YOU 22The LORD will strike you with wasting disease, with fever and inflammation, with scorching heat and drought,*NoteCloseOr sword and with blight and mildew; these will pursue you until you perish.
23AND THEY WILL BE HEAVENS YOUR WHICH [ARE] OVER HEAD YOUR BRONZE AND THE GROUND WHICH [IS] UNDER YOU IRON 23The sky over your head will be bronze, and the earth beneath you iron.
24HE WILL MAKE YAHWEH <OBJ.> [THE] RAIN OF LAND YOUR DUST AND DUST FROM THE HEAVENS IT WILL COME DOWN ON YOU UNTIL BEING DESTROYED YOU 24The LORD will turn the rain of your land into dust and powder; it will descend on you from the sky until you are destroyed.
25HE WILL MAKE YOU YAHWEH DEFEATED <TO> BEFORE ENEMIES YOUR IN A DIRECTION ONE YOU WILL GO OUT AGAINST HIM AND IN SEVEN DIRECTIONS YOU WILL FLEE <TO> BEFORE HIM AND YOU WILL BECOME <INTO> A TERROR TO ALL [THE] KINGDOMS OF THE EARTH 25The LORD will cause you to be defeated before your enemies. You will march out against them in one direction but flee from them in seven. You will be an object of horror to all the kingdoms of the earth.
26AND IT WILL BECOME CORPSE YOUR <INTO> FOOD FOR EVERY <THE> BIRD OF THE HEAVENS AND FOR [THE] ANIMAL[S] OF THE EARTH AND THERE NOT [WILL BE ONE WHO] DISTURBS [THEM] 26Your corpses will be food for all the birds of the air and beasts of the earth, with no one to scare them away.
27HE WILL STRIKE YOU YAHWEH WITH [THE] BOIL[S] OF EGYPT AND WITH <THE> TUMORS AND WITH <THE> ECZEMA AND WITH <THE> SCABIES WHICH NOT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO BE HEALED 27The LORD will afflict you with the boils of Egypt, with tumors and scabs and itch from which you cannot be cured.
28HE WILL STRIKE YOU YAHWEH WITH MADNESS AND WITH BLINDNESS AND WITH BEWILDERMENT OF HEART 28The LORD will afflict you with madness, blindness, and confusion of mind,
29AND YOU WILL BE GROPING IN THE NOONTIDE<S> JUST AS HE GROPES <THE> BLIND [PERSON] IN THE DARKNESS AND NOT YOU WILL MAKE SUCCESSFUL <OBJ.> WAYS YOUR AND YOU WILL BE ONLY OPPRESSED AND ROBBED ALL THE DAYS AND THERE NOT [WILL BE] A DELIVERER 29and at noon you will grope about like a blind man in the darkness. You will not prosper in your ways. Day after day you will be oppressed and plundered, with no one to save you.
30A WOMAN YOU WILL BETROTH AND A MAN ANOTHER HE WILL LIE WITH HER A HOUSE YOU WILL BUILD AND NOT YOU WILL DWELL IN <THE> IT A VINEYARD YOU WILL PLANT AND NOT YOU WILL PUT TO USE IT 30You will be pledged in marriage to a woman, but another man will violate her. You will build a house but will not live in it. You will plant a vineyard but will not enjoy its fruit.
31OX YOUR [WILL BE] SLAUGHTERED TO EYES YOUR AND NOT YOU WILL EAT ANY OF IT DONKEY YOUR [WILL BE] SEIZED FROM TO BEFORE YOU AND NOT ANYONE WILL RETURN [IT] TO <THE> YOU FLOCK YOUR [WILL BE] GIVEN TO ENEMIES YOUR AND NOT [WILL BELONG] TO <THE> YOU A DELIVERER 31Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will not eat any of it. Your donkey will be taken away and not returned to you. Your flock will be given to your enemies, and no one will save you.
32SONS YOUR AND DAUGHTERS YOUR [WILL BE] GIVEN TO A PEOPLE ANOTHER AND EYES YOUR [WILL BE] LOOKING AND LONGING TO THEM ALL THE DAY AND NOT [IT IS] TO [THE] POWER OF HAND YOUR 32Your sons and daughters will be given to another nation, while your eyes grow weary looking for them day after day, with no power in your hand.
33[THE] FRUIT OF GROUND YOUR AND ALL [THE] RESULT OF TOIL YOUR IT WILL EAT A PEOPLE WHICH NOT YOU HAVE KNOWN AND YOU WILL BE ONLY OPPRESSED AND CRUSHED ALL THE DAYS 33A people you do not know will eat the produce of your land and of all your toil. All your days you will be oppressed and crushed.
34AND YOU WILL BE DRIVEN MAD FROM [THE] SIGHT[S] OF EYES YOUR WHICH YOU WILL SEE 34You will be driven mad by the sights you see.
35HE WILL STRIKE YOU YAHWEH WITH BOIL[S] BAD ON THE KNEES AND ON THE LEGS WHICH NOT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO BE HEALED FROM [THE] SOLE OF FOOT YOUR AND TO SCALP YOUR 35The LORD will afflict you with painful, incurable boils on your knees and thighs, from the soles of your feet to the top of your head.
36HE WILL LEAD YAHWEH <OBJ.> YOU AND <OBJ.> KING YOUR WHOM YOU WILL RAISE UP OVER YOU TO A NATION WHICH NOT YOU HAVE KNOWN YOU AND ANCESTORS YOUR AND YOU WILL SERVE THERE GODS OTHER WOOD AND STONE 36The LORD will bring you and the king you appoint to a nation neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you will worship other gods— gods of wood and stone.
37AND YOU WILL BECOME <INTO> A HORROR <INTO> A BYWORD AND <INTO> A TAUNT AMONG ALL THE PEOPLES WHERE HE WILL DRIVE AWAY YOU YAHWEH THERE TOWARDS 37You will become an object of horror, scorn, and ridicule among all the nations to which the LORD will drive you.
38SEED MUCH YOU WILL TAKE OUT THE FIELD AND LITTLE YOU WILL GATHER FOR IT WILL CONSUME IT THE LOCUST[S] 38You will sow much seed in the field but harvest little, because the locusts will consume it.
39VINEYARDS YOU WILL PLANT AND YOU WILL LABOR AND WINE NOT YOU WILL DRINK AND NOT YOU WILL GATHER FOR IT WILL EAT IT THE WORM[S] 39You will plant and cultivate vineyards, but will neither drink the wine nor gather the grapes, because worms will eat them.
40OLIVE TREES THEY WILL BELONG TO <THE> YOU IN ALL TERRITORY YOUR AND OIL NOT YOU WILL ANOINT YOURSELF FOR IT WILL DROP OFF OLIVE[S] YOUR 40You will have olive trees throughout your territory but will never anoint yourself with oil, because the olives will drop off.
41SONS AND DAUGHTERS YOU WILL FATHER AND NOT THEY WILL BELONG TO <THE> YOU FOR THEY WILL GO IN <THE> CAPTIVITY 41You will father sons and daughters, but they will not remain yours, because they will go into captivity.
42EVERY TREE YOUR AND [THE] FRUIT OF GROUND YOUR IT WILL TAKE POSSESSION OF THE LOCUST[S] 42Swarms of locusts will consume all your trees and the produce of your land.
43THE SOJOURNER WHO [IS] IN MIDST YOUR HE WILL GO UP ABOVE YOU UP -WARDS UP -WARDS AND YOU YOU WILL GO DOWN DOWNWARDS DOWNWARDS 43The foreigner living among you will rise higher and higher above you, while you sink down lower and lower.
44HE HE WILL LEND TO YOU AND YOU NOT YOU WILL LEND TO HIM HE HE WILL BECOME <INTO> [THE] HEAD AND YOU YOU WILL BECOME INTO [THE] TAIL 44He will lend to you, but you will not lend to him. He will be the head, and you will be the tail.
45AND THEY WILL COME ON YOU ALL THE CURSES <THE> THESE AND THEY WILL PURSUE YOU AND THEY WILL OVERTAKE YOU UNTIL BEING DESTROYED YOU FOR NOT YOU LISTENED TO [THE] VOICE OF YAHWEH GOD YOUR TO KEEP COMMANDMENTS HIS AND STATUTES HIS WHICH HE HAS COMMANDED YOU 45All these curses will come upon you. They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, since you did not obey the LORD your God and keep the commandments and statutes He gave you.
46AND THEY WILL BECOME AMONG <THE> YOU <INTO> A SIGN AND <INTO> A WONDER AND AMONG OFFSPRING YOUR UNTIL PERPETUITY 46These curses will be a sign and a wonder upon you and your descendants forever.
47BECAUSE THAT NOT YOU HAVE SERVED <OBJ.> YAHWEH GOD YOUR WITH JOY AND WITH GOODNESS OF HEART FROM [THE] ABUNDANCE OF EVERYTHING 47Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joy and gladness of heart in all your abundance,
48AND YOU WILL SERVE <OBJ.> ENEMIES YOUR WHOM HE WILL SEND FORTH HIM YAHWEH ON <THE> YOU IN HUNGER AND IN THIRST AND IN NAKEDNESS AND IN LACK OF EVERYTHING AND HE WILL PUT A YOKE OF IRON ON NECK YOUR UNTIL HAS DESTROYED HE <OBJ.> YOU 48you will serve your enemies the LORD will send against you in famine, thirst, nakedness, and destitution. He will place an iron yoke on your neck until He has destroyed you.
49HE WILL RAISE UP YAHWEH ON YOU A NATION FROM A DISTANCE FROM [THE] END OF THE EARTH JUST AS IT SWOOPS DOWN <THE> EAGLE A NATION WHICH NOT YOU WILL UNDERSTAND LANGUAGE ITS 49The LORD will bring a nation from afar, from the ends of the earth, to swoop down upon you like an eagle— a nation whose language you will not understand,
50A NATION FIERCE OF FACE WHICH NOT IT WILL LIFT UP FACE FOR AN OLD [PERSON] AND A YOUTH NOT IT WILL SHOW FAVOR TO 50a ruthless nation with no respect for the old and no pity for the young.
51AND IT WILL DEVOUR [THE] FRUIT OF LIVESTOCK YOUR AND [THE] FRUIT OF GROUND YOUR UNTIL BEING DESTROYED YOU WHICH NOT IT WILL LEAVE TO <THE> YOU GRAIN NEW WINE AND FRESH OIL [THE] YOUNG OF CATTLE<S> YOUR AND [THE] YOUNG ONES OF SHEEP YOUR UNTIL DESTROYS IT <OBJ.> YOU 51They will eat the offspring of your livestock and the produce of your land until you are destroyed. They will leave you no grain or new wine or oil, no calves of your herds or lambs of your flocks, until they have caused you to perish.
52AND IT WILL LAY SIEGE TO <THE> YOU IN ALL GATES YOUR UNTIL COME DOWN WALLS YOUR <THE> HIGH AND <THE> FORTIFIED WHICH YOU [ARE] TRUSTING IN <THE> THEM IN ALL LAND YOUR AND IT WILL LAY SIEGE TO <THE> YOU IN ALL GATES YOUR IN ALL LAND YOUR WHICH HE HAS GIVEN YAHWEH GOD YOUR TO <THE> YOU 52They will besiege all the cities throughout your land, until the high and fortified walls in which you trust have fallen. They will besiege all your cities throughout the land that the LORD your God has given you.
53AND YOU WILL EAT [THE] FRUIT OF WOMB YOUR [THE] FLESH OF SONS YOUR AND DAUGHTERS YOUR WHOM HE HAS GIVEN TO <THE> YOU YAHWEH GOD YOUR IN [THE] SIEGE AND IN [THE] DISTRESS WHICH HE WILL BRING DISTRESS TO <THE> YOU ENEMY YOUR 53Then you will eat the fruit of your womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters whom the LORD your God has given you, in the siege and distress that your enemy will inflict on you.
54THE MAN <THE> GENTLE AMONG <THE> YOU AND <THE> DELICATE VERY IT WILL BE EVIL EYE HIS ON BROTHER HIS AND ON [THE] WIFE OF BOSOM HIS AND ON [THE] REMAINDER OF CHILDREN HIS WHICH IT WILL REMAIN 54The most gentle and refined man among you will begrudge his brother, the wife he embraces,*NoteCloseHebrew the wife of his bosom and the rest of his children who have survived,

57AND ON AFTERBIRTH HER WHICH GOES FORTH FROM BETWEEN FEET HER AND ON CHILDREN HER WHOM SHE WILL BEAR FOR SHE WILL EAT THEM IN LACK OF EVERYTHING IN <THE> SECRECY IN [THE] SIEGE AND IN [THE] DISTRESS WHICH HE WILL BRING DISTRESS TO <THE> YOU ENEMY YOUR IN GATES YOUR 57the afterbirth that comes from between her legs and the children she bears, because she will secretly eat them for lack of anything else in the siege and distress that your enemy will inflict on you within your gates.
58IF NOT YOU WILL TAKE CARE TO OBSERVE <OBJ.> ALL [THE] WORDS OF THE LAW <THE> THIS WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN THE BOOK <THE> THIS TO FEAR <OBJ.> THE NAME <THE> GLORIOUS AND <THE> AWESOME <THE> THIS <OBJ.> YAHWEH GOD YOUR 58If you are not careful to observe all the words of this law which are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name— the LORD your God—
59AND HE WILL MAKE EXTRAORDINARY YAHWEH <OBJ.> PLAGUES YOUR AND <OBJ.> [THE] PLAGUES OF OFFSPRING YOUR PLAGUES GREAT AND LASTING AND SICKNESSES HARMFUL AND LASTING 59He will bring upon you and your descendants extraordinary disasters, severe and lasting plagues, and terrible and chronic sicknesses.
60AND HE WILL BRING BACK ON <THE> YOU <OBJ.> EVERY <THE> DISEASE OF EGYPT WHICH YOU WERE AFRAID OF <BEFORE> THEM AND THEY WILL CLING TO YOU 60He will afflict you again with all the diseases you dreaded in Egypt, and they will cling to you.
61ALSO EVERY SICKNESS AND EVERY PLAGUE WHICH NOT [IS] WRITTEN IN [THE] BOOK OF THE LAW <THE> THIS HE WILL BRING UP THEM YAHWEH ON YOU UNTIL BEING DESTROYED YOU 61The LORD will also bring upon you every sickness and plague not recorded in this Book of the Law, until you are destroyed.
62AND YOU WILL BE LEFT <IN> MEN OF FEWNESS IN PLACE OF THAT YOU WERE LIKE [THE] STARS OF THE HEAVENS FOR MULTITUDE FOR NOT YOU HAVE LISTENED TO [THE] VOICE OF YAHWEH GOD YOUR 62You who were as numerous as the stars in the sky will be left few in number, because you would not obey the voice of the LORD your God.
63AND IT WILL BE JUST AS HE REJOICED YAHWEH ON YOU TO DO GOOD TO <OBJ.> YOU AND TO INCREASE <OBJ.> YOU SO HE WILL REJOICE YAHWEH ON YOU TO DESTROY <OBJ.> YOU AND TO DESTROY <OBJ.> YOU AND YOU WILL BE TORN AWAY FROM ON THE LAND WHERE YOU [ARE] ABOUT TO GO THERE TOWARDS TO TAKE POSSESSION OF IT 63Just as it pleased the LORD to make you prosper and multiply, so also it will please Him to annihilate you and destroy you. And you will be uprooted from the land you are entering to possess.
64AND HE WILL SCATTER YOU YAHWEH AMONG ALL THE PEOPLES FROM [THE] END OF THE EARTH AND TO [THE] END OF THE EARTH AND YOU WILL SERVE THERE GODS OTHER WHICH NOT YOU HAVE KNOWN YOU AND ANCESTORS YOUR WOOD AND STONE 64Then the LORD will scatter you among all the nations, from one end of the earth to the other, and there you will worship other gods, gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known.
65AND AMONG THE NATIONS <THE> THOSE NOT YOU WILL REST AND NOT IT WILL BELONG A RESTING PLACE TO [THE] SOLE OF FOOT YOUR AND HE WILL GIVE YAHWEH TO <THE> YOU THERE A HEART TREMBLING AND FAILING OF EYES AND DESPAIR OF BEING 65Among those nations you will find no repose not even a resting place for the sole of your foot. There the LORD will give you a trembling heart, failing eyes, and a despairing soul.
66AND THEY WILL BE LIFE YOUR HUNG UP FOR <THE> YOU FROM IN FRONT AND YOU WILL BE IN DREAD NIGHT AND BY DAY AND NOT YOU WILL TRUST IN LIFE YOUR 66So your life will hang in doubt before you, and you will be afraid night and day, never certain of survival.
67IN THE MORNING YOU WILL SAY WHO? WILL HE GIVE EVENING AND IN THE EVENING YOU WILL SAY WHO? WILL HE GIVE MORNING FROM [THE] DREAD OF HEART YOUR WHICH YOU WILL DREAD AND FROM [THE] SIGHT[S] OF EYES YOUR WHICH YOU WILL SEE 67In the morning you will say, ‘If only it were evening!’ and in the evening you will say, ‘If only it were morning!’— because of the dread in your hearts of the terrifying sights you will see.
68AND HE WILL MAKE RETURN YOU YAHWEH EGYPT IN SHIPS BY THE WAY WHICH I SAID TO <THE> YOU NOT YOU WILL REPEAT AGAIN TO SEE IT AND YOU WILL SELL YOURSELVES THERE TO ENEMIES YOUR TO [MALE] SLAVES AND TO FEMALE SLAVES AND THERE NOT [WILL BE] A BUYER 68The LORD will return you to Egypt in ships by a route that I said you should never see again. There you will sell yourselves to your enemies as male and female slaves, but no one will buy you.”
