12<TO> THEREFORE ON ACCOUNT OF YOU ZION A FIELD IT WILL BE PLOWED AND JERUSALEM HEAPS OF RUINS IT WILL BE AND [THE] MOUNTAIN OF THE HOUSE <INTO> HIGH PLACES OF A FOREST 12Therefore, because of you, Zion will be plowed like a field, Jerusalem will become a heap of rubble, and the temple mount a wooded ridge.
1AND IT WILL BE AT [THE] END OF THE DAYS IT WILL BE [THE] MOUNTAIN OF [THE] HOUSE OF YAHWEH ESTABLISHED AT [THE] HEAD OF THE MOUNTAINS AND IT WILL BE LIFTED UP IT MORE THAN [THE] HILLS AND THEY WILL STREAM TO IT PEOPLES The Mountain of the House of the LORD (Isaiah 2:1–4) 1In the last days the mountain of the house of the LORD will be established as the chief of the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and the peoples will stream to it.
2AND THEY WILL COME NATIONS MANY AND THEY WILL SAY COME SO WE MAY GO UP TO [THE] MOUNTAIN OF YAHWEH AND TO [THE] HOUSE OF [THE] GOD OF JACOB SO HE MAY TEACH US FROM WAYS HIS SO WE MAY WALK IN PATHS HIS FOR FROM ZION IT WILL GO OUT INSTRUCTION AND [THE] WORD OF YAHWEH FROM JERUSALEM 2And many nations will come and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob. He will teach us His ways, so that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go forth from Zion and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.
3AND HE WILL JUDGE BETWEEN PEOPLES MANY AND HE WILL DECIDE FOR NATIONS MIGHTY TO FAR AWAY AND THEY WILL BEAT SWORDS THEIR INTO PLOWSHARES AND SPEARS THEIR INTO PRUNING KNIVES NOT THEY WILL LIFT UP NATION AGAINST NATION A SWORD AND NOT THEY WILL LEARN! AGAIN WARFARE 3Then He will judge between many peoples and arbitrate for strong nations far and wide. Then they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will no longer take up the sword against nation, nor will they train anymore for war.
4AND THEY WILL DWELL EVERYONE UNDER OWN VINE HIS AND UNDER OWN FIG TREE HIS AND THERE NOT [WILL BE ONE WHO] TERRIFIES FOR [THE] MOUTH OF YAHWEH OF HOSTS IT HAS SPOKEN 4And each man will sit under his own vine and under his own fig tree, with no one to frighten him. For the mouth of the LORD of Hosts has spoken.
5FOR ALL THE PEOPLES THEY WALK EVERYONE IN [THE] NAME OF OWN GOD HIS AND WE WE WILL WALK IN [THE] NAME OF YAHWEH GOD OUR FOR EVER AND EVER 5Though all the nations may walk in the name of their gods, yet we will walk in the name of the LORD our God forever and ever.
6IN THE DAY <THE> THAT [THE] UTTERANCE OF YAHWEH I WILL GATHER THE [ONE WHO IS] LAME AND THE [ONE WHO IS] OUTCAST I WILL ASSEMBLE AND [THOSE] WHOM I HAVE DONE HARM TO The Restoration of Zion (Zechariah 8:1–23) 6“On that day,” declares the LORD, “I will gather the lame; I will assemble the outcast, even those whom I have afflicted.
7AND I WILL MAKE <OBJ.> THE [ONE WHO WAS] LAME INTO A REMNANT AND THE [ONE WHO WAS] STRAYING INTO A NATION MIGHTY AND HE WILL REIGN YAHWEH OVER THEM IN [THE] MOUNTAIN OF ZION FROM NOW AND UNTIL PERPETUITY 7And I will make the lame into a remnant, the outcast into a strong nation. Then the LORD will rule over them in Mount Zion from that day and forever.
8AND YOU O MIGDAL EDER O HILL OF [THE] DAUGHTER OF ZION TO YOU IT WILL COME AND IT WILL COME THE DOMINION <THE> FORMER A KINGDOM TO [THE] DAUGHTER OF JERUSALEM 8And you, O watchtower of the flock, O stronghold*NoteCloseOr hill; Hebrew And you, Migdal-eder, the Ophel of the Daughter of Zion— the former dominion will be restored to you; sovereignty will come to the Daughter of Jerusalem.”
9NOW <TO> WHY? DO YOU SHOUT SHOUTING ¿ A KING [IS] THERE NOT IN YOU OR? COUNSELOR YOUR HAS HE PERISHED THAT IT HAS TAKEN HOLD OF YOU ANGUISH LIKE <THE> [WOMAN] GIVING BIRTH 9Why do you now cry aloud? Is there no king among you? Has your counselor perished so that anguish grips you like a woman in labor?
10WRITHE IN PAIN AND BURST FORTH O DAUGHTER OF ZION LIKE <THE> [WOMAN] GIVING BIRTH FOR NOW YOU WILL GO OUT FROM [THE] TOWN AND YOU WILL DWELL IN THE OPEN COUNTRY AND YOU WILL GO TO BABYLON THERE YOU WILL BE DELIVERED THERE HE WILL REDEEM YOU YAHWEH FROM [THE] HAND OF ENEMIES YOUR 10Writhe in agony, O Daughter of Zion, like a woman in labor. For now you will leave the city and camp in the open fields. You will go to Babylon; there you will be rescued; there the LORD will redeem you from the hand of your enemies!
11AND NOW THEY HAVE GATHERED ON YOU NATIONS MANY THAT ARE SAYING LET HER BE POLLUTED AND LET IT LOOK ON ZION EYES OUR 11But now many nations have assembled against you, saying, “Let her be defiled, and let us feast our eyes on Zion.”
12AND THEY NOT THEY KNOW [THE] THOUGHTS OF YAHWEH AND NOT THEY UNDERSTAND COUNSEL HIS THAT HE HAS GATHERED THEM LIKE <THE> CUT GRAIN [THE] THRESHING FLOOR TOWARDS 12But they do not know the thoughts of the LORD or understand His plan, for He has gathered them like sheaves to the threshing floor.
13ARISE AND THRESH O DAUGHTER OF ZION FOR HORN YOUR I WILL MAKE IRON AND HOOVES YOUR I WILL MAKE BRONZE AND YOU WILL CRUSH PEOPLES MANY AND I WILL DEDICATE TO DESTRUCTION TO YAHWEH UNJUST GAIN THEIR AND WEALTH THEIR TO [THE] LORD OF ALL THE EARTH 13Rise and thresh, O Daughter of Zion, for I will give you horns of iron and hooves of bronze to break to pieces many peoples.
