1[ARE] CHILDREN YOU OF YAHWEH GOD YOUR NOT YOU WILL CUT YOURSELVES AND NOT YOU WILL MAKE BALDNESS BETWEEN EYES YOUR TO A DEAD [PERSON] Clean and Unclean Animals (Leviticus 11:1–47; Acts 10:9–16) 1You are sons of the LORD your God; do not cut yourselves or shave your foreheads on behalf of the dead,

5A DEER AND A GAZELLE AND A ROE-DEER AND A WILD GOAT AND AN IBEX AND AN ANTELOPE AND A MOUNTAIN SHEEP 5the deer, the gazelle, the roe deer, the wild goat, the ibex, the antelope, and the mountain sheep.
6AND EVERY ANIMAL [WHICH] DIVIDES <OF> A HOOF AND [WHICH] CLEAVES <OF> A CLEFT OF TWO HOOVES [WHICH] BRINGS UP <OF> CUD AMONG THE ANIMAL[S] <OBJ.> IT YOU WILL EAT 6You may eat any animal that has a split hoof divided in two and that chews the cud.
7NEVERTHELESS <OBJ.> THIS NOT YOU WILL EAT ANY OF [THOSE WHICH] BRING UP <OF> THE CUD AND [ANY] OF THOSE DIVIDING <OF> THE HOOF <THE> CLOVEN <OBJ.> THE CAMEL AND <OBJ.> THE HARE AND <OBJ.> THE ROCK BADGER THAT [IS] BRINGING UP <OF> CUD THEY AND A HOOF NOT THEY DIVIDE [ARE] UNCLEAN THEY TO <THE> YOU 7But of those that chew the cud or have a completely divided hoof, you are not to eat the following: the camel, the rabbit, or the rock badger.*NoteCloseOr the coney or the hyrax Although they chew the cud, they do not have a divided hoof. They are unclean for you,
8AND <OBJ.> THE PIG THAT [IS] DIVIDING A HOOF IT AND NOT CUD [IS] UNCLEAN IT TO <THE> YOU ANY OF MEAT THEIR NOT YOU WILL EAT AND <IN> CARCASS THEIR NOT YOU WILL TOUCH 8as well as the pig; though it has a divided hoof, it does not chew the cud. It is unclean for you. You must not eat its meat or touch its carcass.
9<OBJ.> THIS YOU WILL EAT FROM ALL THAT [IS] IN THE WATER ALL THAT [BELONGS] TO <THE> IT FIN AND SCALE YOU WILL EAT 9Of all the creatures that live in the water, you may eat anything with fins and scales,
10AND ALL THAT NOT [BELONGS] TO <THE> IT FIN AND SCALE NOT YOU WILL EAT [IS] UNCLEAN IT TO <THE> YOU 10but you may not eat anything that does not have fins and scales; it is unclean for you.
12AND THIS [IS THAT] WHICH NOT YOU WILL EAT ANY OF <THE> THEM THE EAGLE AND THE BEARDED VULTURE AND THE OSPREY 12but these you may not eat: the eagle, the bearded vulture, the black vulture,
13AND THE RED KITE AND <OBJ.> THE HAWK AND THE BLACK KITE TO KIND ITS 13the red kite, the falcon, any kind of kite,
15AND <OBJ.> [THE] DAUGHTER OF THE OSTRICH AND <OBJ.> THE SCREECH OWL AND <OBJ.> THE GULL AND <OBJ.> THE FALCON TO KIND ITS 15the ostrich,*NoteCloseLiterally the daughter of the ostrich or the daughter of the owl the screech owl, the gull, any kind of hawk,
16<OBJ.> THE LITTLE OWL AND <OBJ.> THE GREAT OWL AND THE BARN OWL 16the little owl, the great owl, the white owl,
17AND THE DESERT OWL AND <OBJ.> THE EGYPTIAN VULTURE <TOWARDS> AND <OBJ.> THE CORMORANT 17the desert owl, the osprey, the cormorant,
18AND THE STORK AND THE HERON TO KIND ITS AND THE HOOPOE AND THE BAT 18the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe, or the bat.
19AND EVERY <THE> SWARMING THING OF THE INSECT [IS] UNCLEAN IT TO <THE> YOU NOT THEY WILL BE EATEN 19All flying insects are unclean for you; they may not be eaten.
21NOT YOU WILL EAT ANY CARCASS TO THE SOJOURNER WHO [IS] IN GATES YOUR YOU WILL GIVE IT AND HE WILL EAT IT OR YOU WILL SELL IT TO A FOREIGNER FOR [ARE] A PEOPLE HOLY YOU TO YAHWEH GOD YOUR NOT YOU WILL BOIL A KID IN [THE] MILK OF MOTHER ITS 21You are not to eat any carcass; you may give it to the foreigner residing within your gates, and he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner. For you are a holy people belonging to the LORD your God. You must not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.
22FULLY <TITHE> YOU WILL TITHE <OBJ.> ALL [THE] PRODUCE OF SEED YOUR WHICH COMES OUT THE FIELD A YEAR A YEAR Giving Tithes (Leviticus 27:30–34; Deuteronomy 26:1–15; Nehemiah 13:10–14) 22You must be sure to set aside a tenth of all the produce brought forth each year from your fields.
23AND YOU WILL EAT <TO> BEFORE YAHWEH GOD YOUR IN THE PLACE WHERE HE WILL CHOOSE TO CAUSE TO DWELL NAME HIS THERE [THE] TITHE OF GRAIN YOUR NEW WINE YOUR AND FRESH OIL YOUR AND [THE] FIRSTBORN<S> OF HERD YOUR AND FLOCK YOUR SO THAT YOU MAY LEARN TO FEAR <OBJ.> YAHWEH GOD YOUR ALL THE DAYS 23And you are to eat a tenth of your grain, new wine, and oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks, in the presence of the LORD your God at the place He will choose as a dwelling for His Name, so that you may learn to fear the LORD your God always.
24AND IF IT WILL BE [TOO] GREAT FOR YOU THE JOURNEY FOR NOT YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CARRY IT THAT IT WILL BE [TOO] FAR FOR YOU THE PLACE WHERE HE WILL CHOOSE YAHWEH GOD YOUR TO PUT NAME HIS THERE FOR HE WILL BLESS YOU YAHWEH GOD YOUR 24But if the distance is too great for you to carry that with which the LORD your God has blessed you, because the place where the LORD your God will choose to put His Name is too far away,
25AND YOU WILL EXCHANGE [IT] FOR <THE> MONEY AND YOU WILL SECURE THE MONEY IN HAND YOUR AND YOU WILL GO TO THE PLACE WHICH HE WILL CHOOSE YAHWEH GOD YOUR <IN> <THE> IT 25then exchange it for money, take the money in your hand, and go to the place the LORD your God will choose.
26AND YOU WILL EXCHANGE THE MONEY FOR ALL THAT IT WILL DESIRE APPETITE YOUR FOR <THE> CATTLE AND FOR <THE> SHEEP AND FOR <THE> WINE AND FOR <THE> STRONG DRINK AND FOR ALL THAT IT WILL ASK YOU APPETITE YOUR AND YOU WILL EAT THERE <TO> BEFORE YAHWEH GOD YOUR AND YOU WILL REJOICE YOU AND HOUSEHOLD YOUR 26Then you may spend the money on anything you desire: cattle, sheep, wine, strong drink, or anything you wish. You are to feast there in the presence of the LORD your God and rejoice with your household.
27AND THE LEVITE WHO [IS] IN GATES YOUR NOT YOU WILL NEGLECT HIM FOR NOT [BELONGS] TO <THE> HIM A PORTION AND AN INHERITANCE WITH YOU 27And do not neglect the Levite within your gates, since he has no portion or inheritance among you.
28FROM [THE] END OF THREE YEARS YOU WILL BRING OUT <OBJ.> ALL [THE] TITHE OF PRODUCE YOUR IN THE YEAR <THE> THAT AND YOU WILL DEPOSIT [IT] IN GATES YOUR 28At the end of every three years, bring a tenth of all your produce for that year and lay it up within your gates.
29AND HE WILL COME THE LEVITE FOR NOT [BELONGS] TO <THE> HIM A PORTION AND AN INHERITANCE WITH YOU AND THE SOJOURNER AND THE FATHERLESS ONE AND THE WIDOW WHO [ARE] IN GATES YOUR AND THEY WILL EAT AND THEY WILL BE SATISFIED SO THAT HE MAY BLESS YOU YAHWEH GOD YOUR IN ALL [THE] WORK OF HAND YOUR WHICH YOU WILL DO 29Then the Levite (because he has no portion or inheritance among you), the foreigner, the fatherless, and the widow within your gates may come and eat and be satisfied. And the LORD your God will bless you in all the work of your hands.
