AND ALSO I SAY NOT I WILL DRIVE OUT <OBJ.> THEM FROM BEFORE YOU AND THEY WILL BECOME FOR <THE> YOU <INTO> SIDES AND GODS THEIR THEY WILL BECOME FOR <THE> YOU <INTO> A SNARE 3So now I tell you that I will not drive out these people before you; they will be thorns in your sides, and their gods will be a snare to you.”
AND IT WAS WHEN SPOKE [THE] ANGEL OF YAHWEH <OBJ.> THE WORDS <THE> THESE TO ALL [THE] PEOPLE OF ISRAEL AND THEY LIFTED UP THE PEOPLE <OBJ.> VOICE THEIR AND THEY WEPT 4When the angel of the LORD had spoken these words to all the Israelites, the people lifted up their voices and wept.
AND THEY CALLED [THE] NAME OF THE PLACE <THE> THAT BOKIM AND THEY SACRIFICED THERE TO YAHWEH 5So they called that place Bochim*NoteCloseBochim means weepers. and offered sacrifices there to the LORD.

AND PEOPLE BURIED <OBJ.> HIM IN [THE] TERRITORY OF INHERITANCE HIS IN TIMNATH HERES IN [THE] HILL COUNTRY OF EPHRAIM FROM [THE] NORTH OF [THE] MOUNTAIN OF GAASH 9They buried him in the land of his inheritance, at Timnath-heres*NoteCloseTimnath-heres is also known as Timnath-serah; see Joshua 19:50 and Joshua 24:30. in the hill country of Ephraim, north of Mount Gaash.
AND ALSO ALL THE GENERATION <THE> THAT THEY GATHERED TO ANCESTORS ITS AND IT AROSE A GENERATION ANOTHER AFTER THEM WHICH NOT THEY KNEW <OBJ.> YAHWEH AND ALSO <OBJ.> THE WORK WHICH HE HAD DONE FOR ISRAEL Israel’s Unfaithfulness (Isaiah 43:22–28; Jeremiah 2:23–37) 10After that whole generation had also been gathered to their fathers, another generation rose up who did not know the LORD or the works that He had done for Israel.
AND THEY DID [THE] PEOPLE OF ISRAEL <OBJ.> THE EVIL IN [THE] EYES OF YAHWEH AND THEY SERVED <OBJ.> THE BAALS 11And the Israelites did evil in the sight of the LORD and served the Baals.
AND THEY FORSOOK <OBJ.> YAHWEH [THE] GOD OF ANCESTORS THEIR WHO BROUGHT OUT <OBJ.> THEM FROM [THE] LAND OF EGYPT AND THEY WENT AFTER GODS OTHER SOME OF [THE] GODS OF THE PEOPLES WHICH [WERE] AROUND THEM AND THEY BOWED DOWN TO <THE> THEM AND THEY PROVOKED TO ANGER <OBJ.> YAHWEH 12Thus they forsook the LORD, the God of their fathers, who had brought them out of the land of Egypt, and they followed after various gods of the peoples around them. They bowed down to them and provoked the LORD to anger,
AND THEY FORSOOK <OBJ.> YAHWEH AND THEY SERVED <TO> THE BAAL AND <TO> THE ASHTAROTH 13for they forsook Him and served Baal and the Ashtoreths.
AND IT BURNED [THE] ANGER OF YAHWEH ON ISRAEL AND HE GAVE THEM IN [THE] HAND OF PLUNDERERS AND THEY PLUNDERED <OBJ.> THEM AND HE SOLD THEM IN [THE] HAND OF ENEMIES THEIR FROM ROUND ABOUT AND NOT THEY WERE ABLE STILL TO STAND <TO> BEFORE ENEMIES THEIR 14Then the anger of the LORD burned against Israel, and He delivered them into the hands of those who plundered them.*NoteCloseLiterally of plunderers who plundered them He sold them into the hands of their enemies all around, whom they were no longer able to resist.
IN EVERY WHERE THEY WENT OUT [THE] HAND OF YAHWEH IT WAS ON <THE> THEM FOR HARM JUST AS HE HAD SPOKEN YAHWEH AND JUST AS HE HAD SWORN YAHWEH TO <THE> THEM AND IT WAS DISTRESS TO <THE> THEM EXCEEDINGLY 15Wherever Israel marched out, the hand of the LORD was against them to bring calamity, just as He had sworn to them. 17AND ALSO TO JUDGES THEIR NOT THEY LISTENED FOR THEY ACTED AS PROSTITUTES AFTER GODS OTHER AND THEY BOWED DOWN TO <THE> THEM THEY TURNED ASIDE QUICKLY FROM THE WAY WHICH THEY HAD WALKED FATHERS THEIR TO OBEY [THE] COMMANDMENTS OF YAHWEH NOT THEY DID SO 17Israel, however, did not listen to their judges. 18AND IF HE RAISED UP YAHWEH FOR <THE> THEM JUDGES AND HE WAS YAHWEH WITH THE JUDGE AND HE DELIVERED THEM FROM [THE] HAND OF ENEMIES THEIR ALL [THE] DAYS OF THE JUDGE FOR HE HAD COMPASSION YAHWEH FROM GROANING THEIR <FROM> BECAUSE OF [THOSE WHO] OPPRESSED THEM AND [THOSE WHO] OPPRESSED THEM 18Whenever the LORD raised up a judge for the Israelites, He was with that judge and saved them from the hands of their enemies while the judge was still alive; for the LORD was moved to pity by their groaning under those who oppressed them and afflicted them.

ALSO I NOT I WILL INCREASE TO DISPOSSESS ANYONE FROM BEFORE THEM ANY OF THE NATIONS WHICH HE LEFT JOSHUA AND HE DIED 21I will no longer drive out before them any of the nations Joshua left when he died.
SO AS TO PUT TO [THE] TEST BY <THE> THEM <OBJ.> ISRAEL ¿ [BE] KEEPING [WILL] THEY <OBJ.> [THE] WAY OF YAHWEH BY WALKING IN <THE> THEM JUST AS THEY KEPT [IT] ANCESTORS THEIR OR? NOT 22In this way I will test whether Israel will keep the way of the LORD by walking in it as their fathers did.”
AND HE LEFT YAHWEH <OBJ.> THE NATIONS <THE> THESE TO NOT TO DISPOSSESS THEM QUICKLY AND NOT HE GAVE THEM IN [THE] HAND OF JOSHUA 23That is why the LORD had left those nations in place and had not driven them out immediately by delivering them into the hand of Joshua.
